Ashford and St Peterâs Hospitals have recently launched a new Paediatric Diagnostic Airway Service. This cutting-edge equipment helps children with airway, voice, and swallowing issues.
Previously, children had to travel to distant specialist centres. Now, they can receive care closer to home, making it more convenient for families.
Thanks to Dr. Kiran Varadharajan, Dr. Rik Hawkins, and our amazing paediatric MDT team for making this possible.

As part of this yearâs Mental Health Awareness Week in May, Trust staff and volunteers were invited to enter a photography competition with the theme of nature. The competition forms part of the Trustâs Healing Arts Programme, a national initiative that is part funded by the ASPH Charity to provide different forms of art that improve both staff and patient environments.
The overall winner of the competition is Dean Isaac from the Trustâs Sterile Services Department for his image titled âCrimson Harmonyâ.
Dean's photo and those that were shortlisted will be displayed across our hospital sites over the coming months and will eventually find permanent homes on the walls of our hospitals. The exhibition is currently in the main entrance of St Peter's Hospital.
