At the end of the Castle’s Conference’s first inaugural meeting, Barbara Spooner MBE of Digital Safety, expresses her delight at how well it went. Today on Safer Internet Day and Lily would like to share a few words on what to do if you are being cyberbullied. Cyberbullying is when someone uses technology to harass, threaten, embarrass, or target another person. It happens on devices like smartphones, computers, tablets, and gaming systems. Cyberbullying can have a huge impact on a young person, and it can affect them in different ways, including: Mentally – feeling upset, embarrassed, stupid, even afraid or angry. Emotionally – feeling ashamed or losing interest in the things they love/ Physically – tired (loss of sleep), or experiencing symptoms like stomach aches and headaches. David is a Training and Development Manager and has worked with IUCSF since 2014. He takes responsibility within IUCSF for delivering engaging and transformational programmes for corporate and community organisations to prevent suicide and better support those affected. If U Care Share Foundation, was started following the loss of Daniel O’Hare aged 19 to suicide in 2005. IUCSF has three main aims suicide prevention, intervention, and support for those affected.
