Dom’s Borneo Expedition
Fundraising page for Operation Wallacea trip He will be based in East Kalimantan where he will study ecology and help scientists with biodiversity surveys.
In July 2023 Dom is travelling Borneo with a group of students from Hermitage Academy as part of Operation Wallacea.
He’s home, and enjoying a Greggs sausage roll, just what every traveller needs. Sounds like an amazing trip. Thanks once again to everyone who supported and made this possible.
Just heard from Dom, they’ve had a muddy time in the jungle, he’s held a snake 😳 and mainly eaten rice!
On to Hoga Island tomorrow.
Ready to go!
The luggage tag arrived today and in just 9 days time I will be setting off for Sulawesi.
A massive thank you to everyone who has helped reach the fundraising target, we are grateful for your support.
I will try and post updates from the jungle and marine base if the signal is good enough!
I appreciate your prayers for a safe trip for the whole Hermitage OpWall team and look forward to the adventure.
