Part L – What is it and what does it mean?

Part L covers the conservation of fuel and power when building new homes and sets out how energy-efficient new homes should be.

These new regulations officially came into effect in June 2022 with a grace period of 1 year, and now means that there will be higher performance targets on all residential homes and properties in England.
Homes must produce less carbon emissions than currently acceptable under Part L.

These changes may affect anyone undertaking a home improvement project, renovation, self-build or an extension and is split into several documents that cover specific areas.

Today marks the start of mental health awareness week and to show our support, we will once again this year be making some slight changes to our logo.
