The castle and events are run entirely by volunteers. Without them, as this Sunday, we are unable to open.

Collapsed Chester City Walls section repair work to begin next week Repair work on a section of Chester's historic City Walls which collapsed in January 2020 is finally due to begin next week.

Sunday 14th July,
we will be closed
for maintenance.
Open as usual today!
