It’s wonderful to witness our DHL Employees helping Santa with his workload at this time of year! 🎁 Supporting causes ranging from Kids Inspire and the Hope Centre, to the Salvation Army and local food banks.

With 465 toys & gifts to the Salvation Army, our South Operations team organised support across the region for around 400 families this Christmas. Thank you to all the DHL employees who supported and are still supporting during this season of giving!

Congratulations to Randeep Upil, our ‘Ambassadors of the Road’ Linehaul champion for the second year in a row!

Scoring 100% on his on-road driving assessment, Randeep has once again proven his continuous hard work and determination, on and off the roads. The annual competition tests our drivers on their maneuverability, driving skills, pre-vehicle checks and legal knowledge.

Following his win, we caught up with Randeep who told us that what keeps him motivated is “the great team in the office. They support me and others with their great communication. My manager saw something in me from day 1 and has supported me to get to where I am now ”.

Our emphasis on Safety First continues this with activity for DHL colleagues and local school children!
Our Health and Safety team will be reminding colleagues across the business about how to drive safely in winter conditions. We’ll also be out in local schools with the DHL UK Foundation, delivering the Trucks and Child Safety (TACS) programme. Our trained TACS team teaches children aged 7-11 about how to keep themselves safe around large vehicles, through live truck demonstrations and fun classroom sessions!

This International Men’s Day, our colleagues have been highlighting the importance of men’s health and wellbeing.
DHL Express Sort Supervisor, Carmen Ticu organised a 10k walk and a prize raffle in aid of Prostate Cancer. As a Brand Ambassador for Cancer Research, Carmen led these activities at DHL to raise both awareness and donations, providing support for men who need it.

Our Senior Courier, Jack White, began his career with DHL Express in 2021 at Gatwick. Since then, he has been promoted, and this year, had the honour of winning the courier competition at our Ambassadors of the Road Grand Finale! We caught up with Jack on his win, where he shared his joy from the recognition of his hard work. “What keeps me motivated is knowing that I have an excellent team around me, and that we are all working towards giving excellent service.”

He tells us his most memorable moment is when the team successfully restructured the whole day of operations to deal with a last-minute disruption, but they still managed to provide great service as a team. Jack shares, “that day we all did a little more and cleared the floor.”
