Sorry that I've not posted anything on for a while. I've currently got a lot of personal things going on. But don't worry, I'll be back!!
Apologies, things have been a bit quiet on here for a while. I've been busy working on a tricky commission and working nights in between, but it's finally finished!! The client wanted the old shiny finish removing and a darker, more rustic look. 25 hours of sanding, lots of dust and cleaning, then 2 coats of walnut finish, and it's done!!
Thank you for the lovely book .m.heritage, I'll enjoy reading it.
Making cloud pictures today.
Love little quirky details when out and about. I see inspiration for my furniture in colours, shapes, and ornamental items.
I'm a sucker for buying pretty wrapping paper for lining drawers/decopage with. I just can't help myself!!
Sneeky peek at my current project I'm doing alongside a commission piece!! Keeping busy here in my garage these last few weeks whilst also working night shifts and straight into day shifts!!

Making a start!!!
Sorry I've not posted for a while. Lovely autumn colours.
Trip to wilko to see what they're selling off....guess what I bought.....
Another mention on my colourful upcycle!!
New project finished today!! I've had this little table in my garage since last year but wasn't quite sure of what look to give it. Inspired by some driftwood and sea glass found on the beach, it all came together. Was very sad having been stored away for a long time. Took an entire day just to get it clean!! But here she is in all her new beauty.
Products used- main body- cornish milk paint in the colour sea glass.
Sealant- cornish milk paint satin sealer.
Top- wash made with dixie belle drop cloth in a 20/80 paint to water ratio.
Paper in drawers- japanese cranes from paper nook.
Handles- local craft shop.
Busy day today. As well as adding some finishing touches to my latest upcycling project (big reveal coming soon!!) Lots of sorting, pricing up and packing the car for this on Monday!! Have got a stall and selling my mums vintage pottery and things collected over the years. Sadly I've no where to display them so hopefully someone else will appreciate them.
Most womens husbands buy them flowers but not me!! This is what I was bought the other day!!😂
Another project sold and waiting to go to its new home. Better crack on with finishing some more furniture!!🖌
Sneaky peak at my current and very dirty project I'm doing!!
Beautiful little beach hut in whitby has inspired my next project. Loving this colour combination.
Sold!! I painted this drinks cabinet last year but had no takers so carefully wrapped it up and stored it away and forgot about it. Fast forward to tidying up the garage and re advertising it. Second time lucky!!,
Part one of my second project using cornish milk paint I had left over from painting my console table. Went for a parisian look on these which would look good anywhere. Stay tuned for part 2 coming soon!!
Inspired by the vibrant summer plants around us (even though the weather says otherwise at the moment!!) this previously unloved little console table has been brought back to life with a fresh white and green combination. Lots of cleaning and sanding later and it is now proud to be worthy of a loving new home.
Products used- main body- cornish milk mineral paint in 'fish house'.
Sealant- cornish milk paint all purpose sealer and stain blocker.
Drawer front- re design with prima decoupage paper in 'greenery'.
Top- Ronseal satin varnish in light oak.
Handle- local craft shop.
Am branching out this weekend by doing my first vintage fair!! A chance to take some lovely vintage pottery and China which has Been sitting in my garage for a few years and am working extra hard this week painting some items to hopefully sell my latest upcycling items!! Weather permitting I'm hoping it will be a good day.
Found these in a lovely little shop in Yorkshire whilst having a little break this week. Couldn't resist picking them up for future upcycling projects. They're meant to be wrapping paper but the quality of them is really thick so more like posters. I wish I'd have got a few more now!!
Spending some down time in the beautiful whitby. I've not been here for many years and it has hardly changed.
Tried a new technique the other day to jazz up my upcycling.....not sure how this one is going to go!! Watch this space!!
