My 5 Top Tips to help not only keep you motivated with your running but also injury free.....π¬π¬π¬
1. Have a specific goal you want to achieve This can be a certain distance, time etc but it needs to be something that makes you excited to achieve π€©π€©
2. Make it fun πππ» Fun Have a good playlist that you listen to, or even make it sociable by going out with a friend or join a running club π§ ππ½ββοΈ This is one way that can help you look forward to your runs, especially now the colder, darker weather is coming in!!
3. Do some resistance training ππ½ββοΈ this is sooo important and an area that often gets under looked. A couple of resistance sessions, whether they be weighted, banded or even body weight, will really benefit your running goals πΊπ»
4. Build your running distance up gradually! Don't get excited and go too much too soon. This is one of the biggest risk factors for injury π€
5. Rest and Recover π§πΌββοΈππΌ take a day off, book your self in for a massage, have a soaked in the bath! Whatever it is make sure itβs something that will let your body recover! Do this before your body tells you toβ¦..have it planned into your training scheduleπ β
