So today we Turned up
After last weeks frustrating result losing 3-2 to Blacon playing good football but switching off last 20 mins today the lads turned up with no our strongest squad tbh with players injured and people away had 14 players with gaffa nodz and assistant Grant Stening making the subs bench so today people had to step up and people waiting to get first team action making the starting 11 we started off good and few early mistakes give away 2 penalty’s one saved and then 1 scored for Custom House taking a early lead then 20 mins in up step Lee parry with a rocket 🚀 making it 1-1 at the break second half the lads looking stronger before the break then second half started every person in a blue shirt absolutely smashed it work rate all over the show chance after chance pressing everywhere came out with something to prove then Sam Nicholas making it 2-1 then another 2 goals from that man again Lee parry giving us a 4-1 win and a really good performance from the lads really good team display all over Custom House good side and I can 100% see if we wasn’t on it they would have caused lots of problems but today we was amazing for once wish Custom House the best on there season got good side well organised

CHESTER & DISTRICT SUNDAY FOOTBALL LEAGUE.

The wet weather continues to reduce the fixture list, but 4 matches were able to take place, with the help of 2 being switched to 3G pitches.

The PRS Telecom Sunday League cup got underway with two first round matches taking place. Straw Hat Athletic and league leaders Saltney BA met at the Ellesmere Port CofE Academy, where a first half hat trick from Tom Rowlands gave Saltney comfortable.
lead. Only one more goal in the second half, a 40-yard screamer from Ellis Moore resulted in a 4-0 victory for Saltney.

Saughall Colts travelled to the Field of Dreams to take on Tarvin Rex. In a tight game with very few chances, Lee Meacock popped up with a 75th minute winner to see Tarvin into the quarter finals.

In the league, Blacon Seals moved into second spot with a hard-earned victory over a spirited Hoole Wanderers, only netting the winner with 5 minutes remaining. A Lee Parry double had kept Hoole in it, but strikes from Tom George, Trey Lattie and Liam Mackin sealed the win for Blacon.

Upton YC and Waverton Centurion battled it out on the 3G pitch at the County Sports Club. Both teams have struggled so far this season, but it was Waverton who found their scoring boots with a comprehensive 7-1 victory. Stuart Watt led the way with 5 goals and was joined by Taylor Owen and Alex Bebbington on the scoresheet. Ollie Nicholson grabbed the consolation for Upton, who remain rooted at the bottom of the table.

So finally after waiting since last month to have a league game we final got a match against Blacon Seals started off slow first 10 mins with Blacon taking a 1-0 lead with a wonder strike from distance after that we started playing some good football and managed to draw level winning a penalty making it 1-1
and finishing 1-1 at the break second half played more good football and was a tight match but managed to grab another with a second goal from Lee parry leading 2-1 with about 20 mins left am not gonna go on about the ref today because both teams have to put up with him but he sent my player off for wearing shin pads that were to small lol then disallowed a goal for us and a goal for Blacon that was both legit goals but fair play i wouldn’t wanna ref and the refs are part of what makes Sunday football then back to 20 mins left some poor errors from us defending through the game gave away 2 goals and ending up losing 3-2 I’d like to say a massive thank you to Blacon Seals for having us had to get back to a family meal in Manchester but great that a team offered us back there pub love that and after hearing a few story’s today they was a pleasure to play against 2 good sides going at it and both teams going behind in the game never gave up 🙌 all the best for the season lads 💙🖤

So today we played in a charity match against Deeside Dragons Football Club at flint stadium Great experience for the lads and a great performance with 6/7 first team players away up stepped people trying to get into the side that have been coming training and a few new trialist players everyone played very well can’t fault one player tbh didn’t take our foot of the gas give 110% untill the final whistle great result and all the best to the dragons great group and thanks for inviting us along to fill the event 💙🖤

Today we was on it for once everyone chipping in with goals even gaffa Nodz bagging 2 goals

A massive shout out also to Grant Stening on his first game as No2 in charge and New assistant at the club got a good squad building now and win lose or draw got a great group of lads 🙌

So Today we played at Flint stadium against Deeside dragons what a good experience for the lads 💙🖤

So this week we have 2 fixtures a charity game saturday in flint stadium against Deeside Dragons Football Club with our makeshift side looking to help raise money for poppy appeal 💙🖤🫶kick off 5.30
£2 Entry for fans and there is a cafe there putting food on also after the game 🙏

And then Sunday if we can get past the bad weather we will be at Home against AC Innovent kick off 11am

Looking forward to getting at least some football for the lads as flints stadium is played on artificial grass 🫶

Wasn’t at the races today started slow falling behind again for the second week in a row 3-0 down at the break second half a lot better 1-1 against last years winners but in the end falling so short but learning from our first time in division massive shout out to Jackswood proper sound group big numbers bringing 30 lads leaving facilities spotless wish them the best in the league bring on the next one 🫶💙🖤👏

So yesterday we played away for our first league match against waverton pitch conditions wasnt the best due to heavy rain but both teams wanting to play 🙌 the game went ahead with waverton taking a 3-0 lead deffo finding the conditions better than us with about 20 mins left to go hoole managed somehow to score 4 in a row and take the lead with goals from Declan Murphy x2 and Lee parry getting x2 great fight back then with 1 min left a long direct ball into the box seem hoole keeper drop the ball onto the waverton players head 😂curtains and seen the game end in probably a well earn point tbh great effort from the lads and we wish Waverton Centurion FC the best in the league great match next we host last years winners Jackswood at Home gonna be another big match 👏👏

So this week was another hard pill to swallow with the first half ending 0-0 and some passing and moving creating some good chances even hitting cross bar second half we just wasn’t at the races few individual errors from set pieces and giving ball away to easy ended up going 3-0 behind then we got 1 back but couldn’t get any more with keeper pulling off 2/3 good saves for tarvin then tarvin scoring just before the end just wasn’t our day today but next week we will be back away again to Waverton Centurion FC
