More balloons today😂

Ah this makes all the hard work in the background worth it.
This was a my large party of 16 children ranging in age from 2-9.

Pretty spectacular balloons for yesterday’s big party.
And what a glorious day, thankfully, after all the rain we’ve had.
My pre-planning went reasonably well- couple of last minute changes to guests plus a slightly delayed start but we worked around those and mums and children had a great time riding the unicorns around my obstacle course , searching for goodies , and making their various age relevant (2-9 yrs) craft.
My two helpers were absolute 🌟
‘Absolutely amazing’ was the mums response.

It's a biggie this week end - a party for 17 children, ranging in age from 2 to 9, boys and girls.Typically parties here are for between 6 and 10 children!
It'll be lovely as they're all part of one big extended family.
However, ensuring everyone is occupied, with age appropriate activities and does everything they're supposed to takes a bit of organisation.
So
* I'm putting on 3 unicorns to so that the different age groups will feel confident/ comfortable on their unicorn
* The children will be in groups with times to do each activity
* I've picked out different art and craft activities to suit the different age groups and each child will have their own named craft pack
* Each parent will have a note of the schedule

My only challenge now is to get the parents to stick to their child's timetable 😉 Oh and also the thing that rhymes with Heather and starts with 'W'! (though it's looking good atm 🤞)

Parents will need to sign to confirm you’re happy for your child being included in future marketing.

Shoe shopping equine style!
These are ‘shells’ ie without all the straps so that I can try them on to see which size fits which horse.
We’ve already measured the horses’ hooves - it’s just not clear cut which sizes fit them😩
There are lots of different types of ‘hoof boots’ - I like these scoot boots as they are quite open so you can see if they fit the hoof , plus they drain ( mud/water etc) PLUS there’s less material to rub.
Some of the horses will use these instead of metal shoes when being ridden. ( metal shoes hinder the natural action of the foot and over time compromise the function of the foot as well as change its shape)
At least one will 🤞 wear them 24/7 to prevent abrasion so she can build slightly better hooves .
Some will even have cushioning pads inside!
As horses back feet are generally smaller than their fronts we’ll need to try at least 2 sizes on each horse, some have slightly different right and left feet and some are ‘between sizes’ so we may need to try 4 shells on each horse to get the right fit🤦‍♀️

There’s all the flurry around getting new shoes and any uniform they’ve grown out of.
Buying new stationery for older children
It’s a fresh start
Back to a routine for some
The end of free and easy no rushing around for some
A return to some muh needed ‘me’ time
A sense of pride as your child tootles off to school
Tinged with sadness that you’ve less time to spend with them

Little 4 yr old here today for a surprise unicorn birthday treat
