Hi everyone - thanks for signing up to show your interest in our new Wheelchair Basketball Club at UOC.

We have a taster session in the Downes Sport Hall at Exton Park (Chester) Campus on Weds 29th September from 7pm-9pm and you are all more than welcome to come and attend. We will have sports wheelchairs there for you to try so you just need to come along with proof of negative lateral flow, have your temperature taken and sign in and you can get playing.
Moving forwards the plan is to have people join in with our Cheshire Phoenix Wheelchair Basketball Club training sessions at Ellesmere Port Sports Village on Saturday evenings from 6.30pm - 8pm. We have spoken to the Athletics Union and we can look to get some drivers trained to bring people to Ellesmere Port if needed or if people have cars we can maybe work out lifts etc.
Our Phoenix training session from 6.30pm-8pm is our Senior session and a quieter session which is a good one for you to come and get used to the sport and then you can join in with our Seniors.
If you decide you want to carry on with the sport after giving it a try you will have to join the Club through the UOC Athletics Union and also register with British Wheelchair Basketball which is free for now for you.
Lets see how you all get on at the Taster day - if you cannot attend that but still want to give the sport a go let me know and we can arrange for you to come and try at a Phoenix Saturday session.
Remember our sport is for anyone with or without a disability so it is a great way to get involved in a totally different sport.
IF you have any questions let me know and I look forward to seeing you all soon.
