A few weeks ago we sent our photographer down to London to get some shots of the VIA Criterium in King's Cross, London.

After almost 5 years, we were happy to see the return of the Brompton World Championship. Friday began with a social ride around the 900m circuit and the race concluded on Saturday, with 5 laps of the circuit, beginning with a Le Mans style start; all bikes folded and lined up with participants required to make a dash for their bikes. It was a truly thrilling race and setup. The kind that the British racing scene is sadly lacking!

We currently have a number of Brompton bikes in stock and whilst their popularity has never declined, witnessing them being used for racing has given them a new dimension in our eyes!

Birkenhead North End Cycling Club promote Youth Coaching Sessions every Thursday evening during the season, at Hooton Park Go-Kart Circuit, alongside Port Sunlight Wheelers, Chester Road Club, New Brighton Cycling Club and Mersey Tri

The sessions are led by Qualified Coaches, and cost just £5 per child per week, with a maximum charge of £10 per family, per week, and are open to children aged 3-15 years, on any type of bicycle or balance bike. All participants should wear a helmet, suitable clothes and shoes, and track mitts are recommended.

When you get to the start of the road closure, if you can ask for Adam or Paul and these guys will get you access to our store.
