Calow Pharmacy will be closed on Monday 26th August. We will be open as normal on Saturday from 9-1. The pharmacy will reopen on Tuesday 27th August at 9am.

Does anyone need any bubble wrap?

We would like to remind our customers to allow an adequate of time when ordering your REPEAT prescriptions please, approx 4 WORKING DAYS from ordering to Collection/Delivery.
ACUTE (Antibiotics, New Medicines, etc) are dealt with accordingly.
We are no longer able to provide Emergency Supplies for medication and you will therefore be signposted to the 111 service in which a referral will be made to your nominated pharmacy.
We offer a Text Service that informs customers when their prescriptions are ready for collection, please speak to a member of staff if you would like to be added to this service

OUR SUPPLIER HAS PUT IN PLACE AN OVERNIGHT TEAM TO HAND PICK THE OUTSTANDING ORDERS AND CALOW PHARMACY HAS BEEN PLACED ON A PRIORITY LIST. I HAVE BEEN ASSURED OUR BACK ORDERS WILL BE DELIVERED TOMORROW. WE WILL BE BUSY BEES UNPACKING IT ALL AND DISPENSING THE BACK LOG TOMORROW FINGERS CROSSED!

Pharmacy First – how’s it going?

We caught up with Pete Johal at Calow Pharmacy to find out, a month after the launch of Pharmacy First, how the service has been received by customers.

“We’d always aimed to do more than the required initial three Pharmacy First consultations during the first month to make sure we hit the ground running,” explains Pete.

“From 31st January to 29th February we delivered 25 Pharmacy First consultations, 22 of which were clinical pathway. What’s more, the reaction from our customers has been positive with people telling us they were pleased that we could see them quickly rather than having to wait for a GP appointment.

“That said, many are still unaware of the service and indeed all the different services we’re able to offer. So, over the next few months, we’re going to continue to focus on promoting Pharmacy First, the Pharmacy Contraception Service and ABPM within the pharmacy, on our website and across our social media channels.”
