Positively Parkinson's
Raises funds and awareness for Parkinson’s plus other neurological and long term conditions.
I’ve said it a lot the last few days, but last time, promise.
Thank you 🙏
Thanks to Jamie, Beth, Tracy, Kelly and my eldest Jessica for an awesome day!
Thanks to every single person that has messaged, shared and commented on posts!
Thanks for every penny donated from everyone!
Thanks to everyone at Positively Parkinson's for getting me onto the group holiday next year, it means so much 🙏
Lastly, thank you to me and my legs for not giving up or packing in! I wasn’t sure they would make it but always knew in my mind I would do it!
Now time to relax, spend time with the family and prep for next weeks 60K Ultra at Thorsby 🤦🏻♂️
Have an awesome Sunday!
Peace out! ✌🏻
Positively Parkinson's 6-6-1 Challenge, but actually will be 7-7-1 🤦🏻♂️🤣
Day 5 complete!
Only two more days to go and then onto the next challenge 🥊
This is just a MASSIVE ‘thank you’ post to anyone who has, liked, commented, shared or even donated to my challenge so far.
All the little bits soon add up and in the end make what I am putting my body through worth it.
So THANK YOU!
Special thanks to Shaun for turning up each morning and getting me through it, it really has helped and I don’t think he realises how much I appreciate it 👊🏻
I’m gonna keep asking but anyone that can, or wants to come along and join me then it will be 5am tomorrow and 9am Saturday morning. Everyone is welcome and we go at whatever pace the group stays together, no pressure on times, it is not a race 👍🏻
Please share if you have 2 mins, if we can get a group Sat morning that would be amazing!
Even if you want to come on your bike, that is still amazing. My eldest daughter will be on hers 🏃🏻♂️🚴🏼♀️
If you can spare a few quid here is the link to my just giving page, every penny raised will go into making people with Parkinson’s live their best life and get the support they need 🧡

And lastly,
As always,
Peace out! ✌🏻
Day 2 complete!
Bit late on this because the day has just flown by.
Thanks to Shaun Parsons & Mark Cooper for coming along for the run, made all the difference in what was a very moist morning 🦦
This isn’t just for fun, it has purpose, and I am trying to raise a little money for Positively Parkinson's and the great work they will do with the money.
It is also Parkinson’s awareness week 14-20 April hence why I’m doing 6 1/2 marathons in 6 days.
A little goes a long way at and even just a share or message of support is amazing, really does help keep things ticking along!

Same again tomorrow, goodnight and see you beautiful people bright and early!
As always…
Peace out! ✌🏻
Jamie's Marathon Challenge for Positively Parkinson's Help Jamie Snarski raise money to support Positively Parkinson's
Jamie is off on the first half marathon of 6 he is completing this week!
DAY 1 🤩
***Challenge UPDATE***
Super excited about this one and anyone can join me if you are local or not, it's open to anyone who wants to get out there push themselves, and do a bit of good for an amazing charity. After last year's success I am going to be working with the team at PP again to host this challenge in Bolsover, mostly running along the Stockley Trail.
6-6-1
A Marathon Challenge for Positively Parkinson's
Aim:
- Run 6 1/2 Marathons in 6 days for 1 charity; Positively Parkinson's.
- Raise awareness for Parkinson's to get people affected diagnosed as early as possible.
Challenge:
Run a 1/2 marathon every day during the Parkinson's awareness week.
April 14 - April 20
World Parkinson's Awareness Day falls on the 11th April 2024. As there is no cure for Parkinson's, this is an annual opportunity to raise awareness and much needed funds to support people with living with the condition, to improve quality of life and to ensure that people live better for longer.
Open to all:
The route I will be running is a 10K (approx). This means I will have to run it 2 times (and a little bit), to complete the 1/2 marathon 21K (13.1 mile) each day.
Because the course is 10K for 1 lap, I will open up the challenge to anyone locally who wishes to join me and do a lap or two or three or the full course. I will create a team account on JustGiving and raise funds.
Please donate to this amazing charity, all donations are gratefully received, link below and it takes minutes to donate :-)
LINK: https://www.justgiving.com/page/jamie-snarski-661?utm_medium=fundraising&utm_content=page%2Fjamie-snarski-661&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=pfp-share
Anyone who wants to get involved in any way then please message me and let's start a conversation.
Peace out!
Only a few more days until we meet again. Everyone welcome!

This is the moment we found out we had won a “takeaway getaway”. It was a magical moment. Thank you to everyone at Saturday Night Takeaway
Last night some representative's from Positively Parkinson's Team were invited to Saturday Night Takeaway live of ITV. The show was a special evening for many charities and other organisations and we were very lucky to have each won a "Takeaway Getaway" which was totally unexpected but so gratefully welcome.
The programme can be watched on ITVX on catch-up. Have fun trying to spot us in the audience.

The Positively Parkinson's fundraising team are back for a final push in 2023 to keep awareness fresh in people's mind and hopefully get some more donations.
The team, through Allan Coe, is putting on a 'Min-Tri' hosted at Goodwood Estate on 25th November (walk and swim) and 10th December (bike ride).
This time the events will be:
- 3K walk around Goodwood
- 100K Swim (aim is to achieve this between as many swimmers as possible)
- 1664K Ride (same as swim a team effort on this!)
Some of these may seem high, but it is a cumulative effort from everyone who wishes to help with this challenge.
So, please spread the word to anyone you think might want to help push the team to hit those targets!
Goodwood has asked for anyone who wishes😁 to come along and help register their interest with the following email address:

Peter Burns and Ben McEwen together with friends from Sea Swimmers completed the Sussex coast route of East Preston to Littlehampton, adding 21 kms to the running total for the Centurion Challenge. To say that it was a bit lumpy would be the understatement of the year. The prize for the biggest smile and achievement goes to Ben who swam his longest distance ever in challenging conditions. "Beaten up but thoroughly enjoyed it" was how he described it! A brilliant job which even impressed Sussex Aardvarks Tim Baylis!
The Centurion Challenge is an adaption of the Big Tri Swim, which was halted when the supporting vessel was involved in a collision. So instead of physically swimming around the Isle of Wight in the sea, the team will still swim the 100 kms distance, but virtually at a venue near them, such as in the sea, pool etc.
Made a decision and did it.
Hathersage Swimming Pool did not disappoint!
Great pool, nice temperature and awesome slowly watching the world wake us as I got some laps in.
Part 2 of my commitment to swim 10K for Positively Parkinson's Big Tri for 2023.
Ok, it wasn’t the sea and not open water, but it’s outdoors, so I’ll take that as a win 👌🏻
Happy Saturday! 🏊🏻♂️
Nice early swim tomorrow if anyone fancies joining me? I’m aiming to be there for 7am, so setting off about 6am, just in case it gets busy 🏊🏻♂️
Never been before, but, looks mint 👌🏻
Home We are now operating our Winter Timetable Please check pool opening times carefully before arriving for a swim. Congratulations to the amazing team that tackled Snowdon yesterday. It was very wet, windy and cold but we pushed on.
24 people including 4 with Parkinson’s, 2 kids under age of 10 and 3 dogs took on the challenge. We were also joined by Tom from Strolll.
Following the tough walk we tucked into pizza and refreshments. The Big Tri 2023 has allowed our community to grow and there are stories of our various adventures to share. However, this is not the end yet of “Big Tri 2023”………
We are all doing this in aid of raising awareness of Parkinson’s and funds for Cure Parkinson's

Well done Archie!!!
