Friendly over 60's Club
All welcome The Newell Centre Association is a non profit making charity for the over 60's.
Our aim is to provide facilities and events to promote the well-being of all over 60's in the Chichester area. We fund this by hiring out the Newell Centre and Bassil Shippam Centre to clubs, associations and small businesses.

Straw Craft Workshop
After our interesting talk from Michael Gates about straw craft we have invited him back to the Newell Centre to host an afternoon where you can have a go at making something yourself.
Thursday 23rd November at 2.30pm. £3 to include materials. New members always welcome.
Forget about the wet weather and join us tomorrow afternoon.
Arrive from 2pm for a natter, tea and cake at 2.30pm and then entertainment from "The Sleepy Lagoon Orchestra"
Come and join us tomorrow, Thursday 14th. We have Michael Gates coming to talk to us and give a demonstration of making corn dollies and straw craft.
Meeting starts at 2.30pm in the Newell Centre. We also have cake!!

Tea, cake, a fantastic talk by Soline about the history of the association and Paul Ullsen with his entertaining talk about pirates and smugglers. Lovely to see some of you dressing for the occasion 😃

In July 1953 Chichester District Association for the Elderly held its first afternoon meeting on the second Thursday of the month.
70 years later (and a name change in 2006 to The Newell Centre Association) we are still having fun on the 2nd Thursday of every month.
All welcome to come to celebrate with us on the 13th July.
Give your red, white and blue clothing and your union jacks one last outing and join us on Thursday afternoon (11th).
We’ll be having a teams quiz with a royal theme and an afternoon tea fit for a king.
What a great afternoon we had on Thursday! Hot cross buns, chocolate and beautiful singing entertainment from Alexis.
Come and join us tomorrow afternoon for tea and cake and a talk by Richard Plowman about "the humble spud".
What better way to spend a cold wet afternoon.
