UCSU Acapella Society - Heaven's Singers

Rehearsals will start 13th February 2023 and will take place in Elizabeth Swan 🦢 in the music block. Please come along as this might be the last semester for the UCSU Acapella society. We do short music pieces (BAM 💥 Baby Acapella Music) workshop like sessions where each week we focus on something else (music theory, intervals, warm ups, intonation, harmonizing, sight reading…) very useful. Share with your friends and message for more information. We’re open for everyone 😊 and we love singing 🎼🎶

This year 2022/23 our rehearsals will be on Monday evenings 6:30-8pm in Will Turner in Music Block. 🤩 we’re very excited and looking forward to this season. Please join us: sing, learn something new & relax. We’re open to beginners/intermediate/advanced singers 😊🎶

Introducing your final committee member, you’re welfare officer for 2021/2022…. ASHLEIGH!! 🤩

Hello! I am Ashleigh Sherlock, mostly known on social media as Ashleigh Frederique. I am pirouetting my way through into the second year of Musical Theatre and Cabaret Performance. I am your Well-being Officer for the Acapella Society 2021-2022. I applied for this role as I really value mental health awareness, especially within the performing arts industry. I would like to make sure freshers feel that this is a safe space and can befriend others in this very encouraging and friendly society. My theatrical experience started from the age of 5 at a Saturday theatre school, progressing into youth theatre work then adult amateur dramatics. The build up of experience led me to my first debut in 2018 for Park Holidays as a Vocalist/Entertainer before embarking uni as a mature student. I was in the society last year and it was a great form of escapism to have fun yet still gaining essential experience for the industry. I am so excited to meet you all! If you ever have any questions or worries please do give me a shout! 🥰

Hello! My name is Ben Mitchell! I am currently going into my second year on Musical Theatre and Cabaret Performance! I am one of the Social Media secretaries for Acapella Society 2021-2022! I have been performing from a young age, including show choirs, dance shows and musical theatre! I attended a performing arts school for almost 10 years which developed my love for performing even more! I was in the society last year and loved my time! I would love to see some new faces in Acapella Society this year! I cannot wait to get started on some of the awesome stuff planned for this year!

Hi everyone! My name is Ashleigh but known as Ash,, I am a second year student on Musical Theatre and Cabaret! I am super excited to involved in the committee this year, as we have many exciting things coming up in the society!! As a young child I was extremely shy (believe it or not) so I started musical theatre as a way to gain confidence, little did I know I would fall in love with it. 14 years later and I still am in love and want it as a career. An aim I have for the Acapella society this year is for it to be a welcoming place, where you not only perform but make friends for life. I can’t wait to get started with everyone! See you soon!!❤️
