So we think its a good idea to share this handy tip/advice for you guys. Here are two cables designed for iPhone/iPad (lightning connection type). Left one is a genuine Apple one with a regulator chip within the cable and the right is a 3rd party generic one. The difference is obvious once opened but understandably some of us may tend not to know. Apple cables have regulator chips which controls/monitors how much energy carries into your device. Most devices have internal regulation but not apple as “wheres the money in that?”. using an unregulated cable can cause internal damage which can land a costly repair in the long run. Think twice before plugging that cheap cable into your device 🙂
