It can be scary and often intimidating trying to find a hair salon.

What if you don't like the salon or the work?

This is especially difficult if you have had a stylist that you have been with for a long time. You may feel like you can't go back.

I get it.

Going to a new salon can feel like a big jump. I am happy to consult with you in person/by email/on the phone before you book your appointment with no obligation to book.

It is perfectly OK to book in with me to see if you like my style of work, then after the appointment decide you would like to stay with your current stylist.

It doesn't happen often, but I honestly won't be offended.

Want to know what lasted me 5 days?!

My smooth, frizz free hair! Even with the damp week we have had 🙌

I have been trying out the Colorwow dreamcoat. And the results are pretty good.

I washed my hair Monday, applied the Color Wow dreamcoat, dried and straightened. All I have done for the rest of the week is brush it!

I have been on dog walks in the mist/fog and drizzle along the beach, taken showers with a shower cap, worked at the salon, and tied it up. I am impressed 🙌

What day is it?!

12 years ago today, I had my first mobile clients!
I was so nervous and had no idea if it would work out.
My advertising was a few leaflets, a page (look at my first profile picture!), and my friends and family telling everyone they knew!

And now, I have my own small salon, and I can't believe how fast 12 years has gone!

Some of you have been with me since those very first days, even some from my salon days! I appreciate you so much. You have seen me through it all ❤️

And to you all, my clients and followers, whether you have sat in my chair or i am yet to do your hair, thankyou so much for being here, for trusting me and believing in me. For always encouraging me and showing your support. Without all of you, there is no C.E Hair.

So, a massive thankyou to you. And I can't wait to share and grow my business with you ❤️

3 weeks until East Wittering village switch on their Christmas lights!

The salon will also be open, along with the rest of , but you won't find me working in the salon! Instead, you will find some stall holders. These are yet to be announced.

Plus, all our amazing independent high street shops that will be open and ready to welcome you in.

Your at home hair care treatment, I have you covered!

With the change in the season upon us, nows the time to give your hair some tlc. (And make it part of your regular hair care routine)

This is my simple and effective home routine.

1. Gentle Shampoo: Use a shampoo for your hair type. Shampoo twice!
2. Pat Dry: Gently pat hair dry to prevent breakage.
3. Nourishing Mask: Apply from tips to roots. But not necessarily covering your roots.
4. Detangle Carefully: Use your favourite detangling brush to gently detangle. I love 🙌
5. Heat and Cover: Create a steam room with a shower cap or towel, and leave on while you continue your bath or shower routine.
6. Rinse Well: Thoroughly rinse with lukewarm water.
7. Ready for Winter: Enjoy soft, nourished hair.

Consider hydrating leave-in products for daily protection. Conquer winter with healthy hair!

All the hair masks are available in salon for you to purchase. You can also pre-order ready for your next hair appointment.

DONT SAY THE C WORD!

Sssh...the C word is coming!

I know, I know, it feels like we just put on our summer sandals, but my calander is open for you to book you festive hair appointments.

You might be thinking, 'But it's only August!' and you'd be right. But as the Christmas fairy lights start to twinkle, my schedule fills up faster than Santa's sack on Christmas Eve!

And we all know how important it is to look our fabulous best for the festive season - there are parties to dazzle at, family gatherings to attend, drinks with friends and of course, the all important Christmas day style plan.

So whether you're dreaming of snowy highlights, a bold new hair cut, or simply want to be pampered away from all the mayhem, nows the time to think about booking your Christmas appointment.

Did you know?

A skin test is not just a routine salon protocol, it's an absolutely essential part of your hair colour journey.

As a professional hairstylist, ensuring the health and safety of my clients is my top priority. This is why I will never skip the skin test.

Wondering what exactly a skin test is?

It's a quick and simple process where a small amount of hair dye is applied to tour skin, usually 48hrs before your appointment, to check for any allergic reactions.

Though allergies to hair dye are rare, they can be quite severe. Reactions can range from icltchy skin and redness to more serious conditions such as swelling, burning, and even, in extreme cases, anaphylaxis.

It's not worth taking the risk, especially when it comes to your health. That's why I always make sure we conduct a skin test prior to any hair colouring service.

Remember, a hair salon that skips the skin test is one that's willing to compromise on your safety.
Always ensure your stylist priortizes your wellbeing.

Renting a chair inside of C.E Hair

You get to work within a salon environment that...
👉Offers support.
👉Will help your business to grow.
👉Gives you a safe space to look after and attract your perfect client.

You will find the salon tucked inside of Wittering Walk, based in the seaside village of East Wittering and just a short journey from Chichester West Sussex.

You get to bring your business into the salon and manage it the way you have dreamed of.

The space is neutral in decoration, so your own branding can shine through.

You will have your own section to work from, which comes supplied with a double plug socket, a water spray, heat mat, and wi-fi connection.

Also available to you is a selection of teas, coffees, and bottled water, with individually wrapped biscuits to offer your clients.

Included is the use of towels and cleaning products. And there is access to private toilets and a separate kitchen.

You will find there is plenty of parking in and around East Wittering village, much of which is free.

You can work your own hours and days. You will handle all your own takings and will be invoiced separately for your day rate.
You will manage and interact with all your clients and keep all their data in your own systems. You will be providing all your own products, colours, tools and ppe.

I can give you guidance, if needed, on booking systems, accountants, and social media. I can put you in contact with some amazing course educators.
I can offer you support and cheer you on. I can give you a place to grow without fear, where community over competition is the motto.

Chairs are available to rent on a short or long-term basis. They are available for hire from 1 to 5 days a week, even if you just would like once a month.

Moving location and setting up my hair salon in East Wittering means I have met some new people, but you don't know much about me!

For those who have been here a while, here's an update 😂

I am Claire of C.E. Hair. You will find me walking Poppet (my dog) at Bracklesham beach!
I am a lover of colour, in particular, creating blondes and lived-in looks. I am obsessed with educating myself, increasing and refreshing my knowledge.

The health of your hair is my priority. I work with and invest in high-quality products. They help me to create and maintain beautiful hair.

Your comfort and the time spent at the salon during your appointment is dedicated to you, and you will find that no one else is booked in with me when you are here. You can come to switch off completely, bring a book, wear your slippers, or we can listen to your favourite playlist! But you are also welcome to log in to work if needed.
