That's the 2023 season of exciting VSCC motor sport finished. Another year when, despite the sometimes frantic scrabble for marshals we managed to run every event. Some events in glorious sunshine and others in torrential rain but our hardy marshals were out there keeping everyone safe. The Marshal and Volunteer Sub Committee would like to extend their thanks to everyone who has volunteered in some role and whatever discipline over the last twelve months, your hard work is very much appreciated. Next year we have another full season and also the 90th Anniversary week in August with a full programme of events, we hope to see you all out again in 2024, in the mean time we would like to wish all our marshals and volunteers a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

The past year we have seen the VSCC motoring activities get back to normal with events taking place without the need for social distancing or compulsory wearing of face masks, a great relief to all involved. Our marshals and volunteers have been out in force, and your hard work, dedication, professionalism and commitment has shone through out the whole season, whatever the discipline. Unfortunately our number of volunteers and marshals has dropped significantly over the past few years, with some events been very near to the bone on sufficient numbers. Therefore, with a full calendar of events published for 2023, why don't we all try and encourage at least one person each to come along and join our happy band, without sufficient marshals and volunteers events stand the risk of being reduced or cancelled and no-one wants to see that. The MVSC would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been out in some volunteering/marshaling role in 2022, we really appreciate the work you do for the Club and we look forward to seeing you all in 2023. May we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and New Happy Year.
