Thrilled to announce we have partnered with Katharine House Hospice as one of our community partners.
Katharine House Hospice provides free specialist care for adults with incurable illnesses in north Oxfordshire and south Northamptonshire. The team really do an extraordinary job in the care they provide.
Every year they need to raise more than £3 million so that they can go on caring for people living with an incurable illness. Here at The Cherwell Agent we are proud to help, even in some small way.
Our sellers will have the option to select KHH as their chosen partner at the end of the transaction, meaning The Cherwell Agent will donate £100 to the cause.
Huge thanks to Katharine House Hospice and Sue Blank for her enthusiasm and support in setting this partnership up.
You can see more about our community partners here:

Richard and Jane will be out and about in the local area today and tomorrow (Thursday 24 and Friday 25 August) – and in the coming weeks – letting people know about our Katharine House lottery. 🙋♂️🙋♀️
Part of the lottery canvasser role is being able to reach people who may not have heard about Katharine House and giving them the opportunity to support our hospice by playing our lottery – and be in with the chance of winning £1,000 each week. 🤩
It costs more than £4.7m to run Katharine House Hospice every year. Although we receive some funding from the NHS, we still need to raise more than £3m annually to provide our care and services free of charge. Our lottery plays an incredibly important part in helping us support local people with life-limiting illness as well as their families and loved ones. ❤️
Richard and Jane will both have Katharine House ID badges with their photos and hospice logo.
If you don’t play our lottery yet, what are you waiting for? You can find out more and sign up here: www.khh.org.uk/lottery
Or if you like the sound of being a Lottery Canvasser yourself, you can find details about the role here: www.khh.org.uk/lottery-canvasser

Calling all teachers!
Have you signed up to our Accumulator Challenge yet? It's a great way for schools to encourage some entrepreneurial spirit in students, all while giving something back to the community. 🥰
Students from Kineton High School have taken part in the challenge every year since it began back in 2014 – and they were eager to take part again this year.
Ms Purnell, Head of Art and Design at Kineton School said: "One of the best things about the Accumulator Challenge is the whole school coming together and everyone being involved. As a teacher, it’s very rewarding to see.
"The students learn many things from teamwork, product design, finances, marketing and organisational skills!” ✅
Since the Accumulator Challenge began in 2014, Kineton High School have raised nearly £14,000 for the hospice AND have won the Most Funds raised by a School award every year! 👏
Ms Purnell continued: "We are so pleased the Accumulator Challenge is back as we love a challenge to get our teeth into! I would encourage any school, business or community group to take part too. We love a bit of competition here at KHS!” 💪

Our care for families and friends doesn’t end when a loved one dies.
Thanks to our dedicated team of Bereavement Support Volunteers, we’re able to help people during the toughest of times. ❤️
But we desperately need more volunteers in these roles so we can keep providing this essential care.
Maggie, one of our Bereavement Support Volunteers, told us: “Helping people to manage their grief is a huge privilege; clients trust you with deeply important personal experiences, which they might not have shared with others. Without a doubt I’ve got as much out of volunteering, as, I hope, the people I’ve been working with. I have learned an enormous amount form each individual client.”
If you’re a good listener and have time to spare, please consider volunteering for this vital role. Training will be provided, as well as ongoing supervision and support.
