This is a huge thank you post to Heidi, Gene and Dolly 🙏 for looking after our precious little pocket rocket 🚀 🌟Midnight Mustang🌟 for over 3 years.

In this time Barley has had the most loved and wonderful home and Dolly has had so much fun with him from SJ to hedge hopping and everything else in between!

Always a tough decision when it’s time to return him home 😔 .. I know he misses you all as you do him… so pop in anytime to get that Barley cuddle 🥰

Well done to our son Thomas Martin on passing his final exam this week completing his Diploma in farriery. Fantastic result Tom and well deserved 👏🥂

4 long years but got it done!! Thanks to my dad ( ) for all the help along the way and Dave smith for seeing me through the last year!

Kendall is a dear friend of our family, we first met Kendall when she worked for us helping out with our racehorses and has remained a friend of the family ever since.
She is a lovely bubbly outgoing person and unfortunately she has had a serious accident out in Australia where she was one of the work riders.
She is very ill and her family are trying to get to her side as quickly as possible.

A big thank you to owner Ellen Bates and her family for being so supportive and patient with Baby Geoff… he is a lovely big young horse and fingers x some exciting times ahead for this fella.

Highs and lows of racing ..
A mixed day of results for our two runners today…. the lovely ⭐️Glance at Me⭐️is definitely out of sorts as our jockey James had to ease her up before the last hurdle today… our main priority is to make sure she is ok, so we will get her thoroughly checked out.

Takes a great win in the 2m1/2 Novice 0-95 hurdle.. great ride from jockey James Martin and game effort from Nia for owner Andrew John 👏

We had two runners here - Darcy’s Glance 2m Maiden hurdle and Glance at Me 2m hurdle for owners Bob and Sandra Davenport .. unfortunately both mares ran below par and we could only put it down to the heat on the day… 🥵
They looked fantastic and Darcy won best turned out (well done Saph!) but sometimes you just have a to draw a line through races that don’t go according to plan 🤦‍♀️
They are both ok though maybe a little tired the day after but both have picked up well and back in work 👏

🦁Lion Ring 💍 Was very brave in the 5f at Bath, first time on turf for a while for this dude.. they took no prisoners and put up a proper sprint.. even though Simba is quick he couldn’t quite lay up with them in the final furlong … so thinking he may need further next time he races on turf…. 🏇🏼🦁💍

First time for Darcy over hurdles in a competitive Maiden race Stratford-on-Avon Racecourse yesterday. Lovely big mare bred by owners Bob and Sandra Davenport. Lots to like on her first attempt, she was very excited and probably pulled too hard for a mile but she did eventually settle to finish well.
