And just like that, its happened! I am finally an Independent Nurse Prescriber, signed off and recognised by the NMC. I am so excited and relieved to have this recognised (and completed).
Being a nurse prescriber means I can now prescribe any prescription only medicines that may be required during the course of your treatment. This makes me a one stop shop, and streamlines your care.

Aseptic Technique and the Sterile Field ⚕️⁠
Aseptic simply means 'without organisms' 🐛 and is an essential principal I follow to protect your health and safety during a treatment 🧤 I prepare the work surface to hold and keep all the equipment used as sterile and clean as possible throughout any treatment to reduce the risks of an infection post procedure 💉⁠
Setting up and maintaining a sterile field throughout a procedure is a technique I learned and perfected throughout my nursing career 👩‍⚕️⁠
Aesthetic treatments are often considered 'beauty treatments' but to me they are medical procedures and this is how I treat them, and why I consider clients my patients.⁠

🧪 Understanding Chemical Peels
Chemical peels can significantly improve your skins texture, tone and radiance ✨
A chemical peel loosens the Velcro-like bonds between the healthy and dead skin cells on your skins surface. This promotes resurfacing of your skin as well as new cell growth 🧬
They thicken your epidermis (the visible outer layer of your skin) increasing your skins overall volume and promote collagen synthesis.

5 years married 🥂

I want to wish all of my followers and friends and clients and supporters and people who have helped me and encouraged me and just generally shared the love this year a healthy and happier 2021. Starting my very own small business durring a pandemic has been a slow start, then stop, then start and again stop today.... But I've loved every minute. Getting back into it. Before vs After - This gorgeous client of mine is well versed in cosmeceutical grade skincare and using active ingredients. This gorgeous client had a long term asymmetry visible in her lower lip related to a surgical complication over 30y ago in her jaw. Using 1 ml of Juvederm Ultra 3 we were able to give her a lovely subtle correction, reduce her downturned mouth corners and address sone minor upper lip lines. As we age (and this begins in our late 20's- early 30's!) we start to loose volume in our mid to upper face. This is often first noticed with a 'heaviness' or 'joweliness' in our lower face. A lovely way to help counteract this look is with volume restoration to the cheeks, giving you back subtle youthful contour while lifting some of the lower face heaviness away. This can also have the benefit of correcting some of the ageing seen around the eye area too. A lovely way to freshen the face and appearance.

Peptides in skin care. Have you heard of them? Do you know what they do? Peptides are the building blocks of proteins and we are made of proteins and that includes the collagen in our skin. When we apply peptides to our skin this can stimulate and signal to our skin to make more collagen thereby improving signs of ageing.
