Bourton On The Water.

A great social bit of shooting for hunters and target shooters alike aswell as a chance to split the usual hire fee with others.

Hardox500 Deer and Gongs set at 200, 250, 300, 400, 450, 500 and 600m.

£30 per shooter with space for up to 8 shooters firing and others spotting, swapping as you see fit.

The estate cafe is open 9.30am-2.30pm for bistro cafe style food and drink or feel free to bring your own.

So day 2 came to a close on Monday with a bang!

Full morning of bench shooting with our rifles. Shooting centerfires from 200m to 600m and the rimfires from 200m to 400m.

The final shoot was using the Bergara Rifles International Wilderness Sierra topped with a ZEISS Hunting V6 scope and suppressed using the Wildcat Moderators Elite Compact.
Shooters had 3 rounds and they could either shoot 200, 300 and 400m off sticks or elect to go straight to 400m.

It was awesome to see people who have never used sticks before slamming the 400m plate with the Sierra!

SIMULATED STALK DAY DAYS
All experience levels catered for as we can craft the days to cater for all skill levels.

Min of 4 persons required to run the day, Max of 8.

The day includes the following:

- Competency test and zeroing 100m.
- Stick technique and walk up practice 150m.
- Route 1 walked and shot in pairs.
- Lunch.
- Route 2
- Practice, zero and testing out to 500m. Gives shooters the chance to push their distances check their drops or just get some practice.

Each route has 4-5 targets; all steel target company targets life size roe, muntjac and fox reactives.

Range time is carried out onto a selection of steel gongs.

Licensed novices welcome and we can also take on un-licensed novices over 18yrs old.

Will be running these days on set dates through the rest of the year with then more availability next year.

£125pp lunch included, 9am arrival, shooting 10am-3.30pm.

Estate Rifles available and guidance for non FAC holders 18yrs+ .

Nice Munty Buck for Will this morning adding to some great outings in the passed couple of weeks with myself or partnered guides.

Out for the last Fallow Doe first thing tomorrow with then a few spaces left on the Fallow Bucks pre 30th April.

Feeders and Hik Cams going on the new grounds to assess the other species a little more.

A group over from New York fancied some clay bashing in the Cotswolds - I can cater for any ability and number of shooters over some stunning Cotswold locations.

Happy client this morning with plenty of Fallow & Roe Does out before end of the month.

Superb outing for my guest today.

With lots of deer seen on the open ground as we pulled up, we opted to close in on the 2 Roe whilst staying down wind from the fallow group.

Stalked in to 120m of the first Roe doe of the evening with a H&L shot dropping her instantly.

We then bled her and left her there whilst we got onto the Fallow on the forest margin...

Getting into 150m and the wind wasnt in our favour anymore, off they went.

Still early on with plenty of light, we made our way through the woodland and into the forestry with a sure bet we would bump some more Roe.

An hour in and few sightings that didnt present, we got onto our second Doe which was dropped on the spot with a neck shot.

Plenty of deer on the ground and few spaces before Does are out until next season.

Hereford stalking ground is live. Few seats to check over and feeders to put in place. Then we can assess numbers and get stuck in.

A good mix of pasture, arable, woodland rides and dense coniferous plantation - offering clients good variety in topography and scenarios.

Construction of a purpose built 100m centre fire range begins at Cotswold Sporting .

With the new HQ training centre, open land ranges and stalking grounds going with success, its now time to add a MoD grouping and zero range to the portfolio.

A central Cotswold hub for target and hunters alike of all experience levels - alongside the club house serving bacon rolls and clay ground.

ETA on completion spring 2025.

Guided onto a Fallow hot spot with some good youngsters to pick out, a fantastic kneeling shot straight into the engine room.

Beauty of a morning and good to see one of the smaller Cotswold grounds still hosting fallow, roe and muntjac.

Over the next couple of weeks feeders and seats will be put in place to get a better insight as to whats paying us a visit.
