The Lib Dems have not come second in the race for the North Northumberland seat in the last two elections and they won’t this time either. It’s a two horse race between Labour’s David Smith for North Northumberland and Liz Truss supporter Anne Marie Trevelyan.

A vote for the Lib Dems or any other minor party is a vote which will risks sending Anne Marie Trevelyan back to Westminster.

Armed Forces Week is almost upon us!

This week on the run up to is an opportunity to show our support for the men and women of our Armed Forces community: currently serving personnel, service families, veterans, and cadets

It was great to be out with Alex Baker for Aldershot & Farnborough earlier today. Perfect day to get out on the doorstep and to speak with the good people of Aldershot and Farnborough, about Alex’s and The Labour Party vision for their towns and the country.

As we begin , I’ve been out talking to military families in with Toby Dickinson and Alex Lee from Labour Friends of the Forces.

I will proudly champion our Armed Forces if elected to serve as MP for the Home of the British Army. That includes ensuring all our veterans and serving personnel can live in a decent home.

Today, at the eleventh hour, on the eleventh day, of the eleventh month, we pause to honour those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice in service of our country.

At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.

An exhibition telling the story of Wales’s contribution in the largest air battle ever recorded is coming to Merthyr Tydfil this autumn.
