Dear all parents and carers,

Are you aware of the vital safeguarding role you play in football? This weekend is Play Safe Weekend. Play Safe is football’s national campaign to focus attention on the vital importance of safeguarding in our national game.
The campaign is officially supported by the NSPCC as well as the Premier League, EFL, Barclays Women’s Super League and Barclays Women’s Championship. It’s also being backed by every other level of the game across England.Captains will be wearing Play Safe armbands this weekend. To discover more, the FA is asking you to take the new, short and free safeguarding course specifically developed for parents/carers, which can be accessed here https://learn.englandfootball.com/courses/safeguarding/safeguarding-awareness-for-parents-and-carers.

Thank you!

The CUJFC committee.

Hi all.

As you will be aware, all grassroots football fixtures have been postponed this weekend. As a mark of respect, we (CUJFC) have also asked managers to cancel training this weekend.

Training will resume next week, although please note that no sporting events will be permitted on the day of the Queen’s state funeral.

Thank you for your understanding.

The CUJFC committee.

As a club I would like to share the sad news that Mike Thomas sadly passed away yesterday.

Mike was Mr Clevedon rugby and the time and effort he put into the rugby club was fantastic.

I know all our existing players will not know Mike from his teaching days at Clevedon Comprehensive but I know a lot of our parents will have been taught or know Mike.
RIP Mike xx❤️❤️

# # # VERY IMPORANT # # # #

Hello, all the below has been sent to your managers and coaches today.

A concern is that out of 450 parents no one has came forward to say they can help and be a secretary for next season.
The harsh fact is if no one steps forward we have no club next season.
Please can you share this with your parents, it is not a threat it is just reality.
If you tell your parents and no one steps forward and the club folds then they will all know they could have helped to keep it going.
We are a fantastic club but we need help, the more that help the more we can break the roles down
I appreciate everyone is busy at work and family life but if we all said the same then once again we would have no club

# # # important update # # #

Hello All
After many years on the committee, Roxanne has decided this will be her last year.

The club and I are sure all of you would like to say a big thank you for all Roxanne has done.

This means next season the club will require 2 new secretaries.

This role needs to be filled for the club to continue next year, without a secretary we have no club, and the people on the committee already are giving as much time as they can so they cannot do this role.
We want to get 2 people on board ASAP so we can hand it over.
Remember without a secretary 450 children will not have football next season.

Please put your name on this post if you would like to find out more about the role.

On the positive Kostas who was leaving has decided to remain as a trustee to oversee the club, which is fantastic news.
