This section is based upstairs in the gym & is essential

Our kettlebells, Dumbbells & Body bags range from 4kg-30kg

Having this section available means that even in peak times there is always an option available for you to train

Continuing on with our new helpful content, today we’re bringing you essential info on workout recovery ❤️‍🩹📖

First up is nutrition 🍛

It is super important to eat carbs and protein after a workout in order to help your body:

* decrease muscle protein breakdown
* restore glycogen stores
* increase muscle protein synthesis (that means gains😜)

Your body’s ability to rebuild glycogen and protein is also enhanced after a workout, so try get a meal in fairly soon after ⌛️

Importantly, drinking water🚰 during and after your workout will help you recover a lot faster. This is because water helps transfer nutrients to the cells, and flushes toxins away.

So, everyone! Eat well, stay hydrated and have a great day 😁❤️

EQUIPMENT SPOTLIGHT🔎
SMITH MACHINE:

The smith machine usually features a barbell that is fixed between two steel rails, restricting it to only vertical/near-vertical movement. ↕️

Here at Ugym we have a Star Trac Max Rack - which is “3D” - meaning it allows for horizontal movement. This gives a natural range of movement but with additional safety, as you can always re-rack the weight regardless of what position you’re in✅

The smith machine is very versatile as it allows gym goers to perform a variety of exercises such as squats, bench press, rows and seated overhead press. 🏋️‍♀️

It is great for heavier exercises, correcting your form and giving extra assistance if you have a weaker side/muscle.

We have taken the decision to close the doors at 8pm tonight and reopen at 8am tomorrow morning.

This is for every member across all memberships.

The risks massively outweigh the benefits of staying open.

We want everyone to remain safe, and limit any damage to the building preventing us from opening tomorrow.

Please note all members will need to be out of the building before we lock at 8pm.
