This little cutie is now available in my folksy store 💛 a cute little delicate buttercup size A5 / 5.8 x 8.3 inches. It is done on mixed media paper using black fine liner pen and some added watercolour to bring it to life 🥰

Here is my finished trio of a sunflower opening, from bud to bloom 💛

Here we have a gorgeous commission I was asked to do by a very good friend of mine 🥰 she asked for a crow perched on top of a skull, all in my signature fine liner pen style! I embellished it a little with some added white anemones 🤍 I am actually quite proud of this piece and how well I managed to get the details into the feathers of the crow 😄 what do you think? (FYI she absolutely loves it which is always a great feeling!). I myself loved this brief because I do love the darker more gothic style pieces I see and so to get the opportunity to draw a skull was right up my alley 🤪

Framed and gifted to my dad for his birthday yesterday 🥰 it goes so well in this frame! It took a lot of effort cutting the mount down to fit and getting the back of the frame open as it’s an old one that has been used previously 😅 but I managed it and it was worth the effort for sure! The glass is also anti-reflect which I didn’t realise until I gave it a good clean so that is an added bonus! Looking forward to seeing it hung up at my parents house 🩶

If you had to choose a favourite flower, what would it be? I really can’t decide - I have so many! But you can’t go wrong with these beautiful bleeding hearts 💙 wouldn’t they make a great piece of art hanging on your wall for ever more? 🥹 now available in my folksy shop - like in bio 🤍

This beauty of a print has been added to my folksy page. I have a big attachment to this print as, some of you may know, it took a lot of trial and error for me to get the little details of the ginkgo leaf embedded into the paper. I decided it needed to be mounted and doesn’t it just work?! 😄 this is the original cyanotype print so you will be getting something that is very close to my heart 💙 follow the folksy link in my bio if you want to own this precious print!

Romanesco cauliflower 💚 This was one looong piece! I started it on the 24th of March 🥴 it’s taken me a whole month to complete 😳 I did have other projects going on and I only have time to draw in the evenings (and not all evenings!) but I’m impressed I actually finished it! A few inconsistencies but in the whole, I’m very pleased considering it was a challenge! artist

Some vegetable drawings for you to enjoy - my current obsession 🤍

Here we have it! Finally finished. This one is called heaven - five for heaven from the magpie rhyme 🩶 I pictured this in my mind for so long and I’m really pleased with the outcome! What do you think? The foliage I have chosen is from the ailanthus altissima which is a tree that represents heaven, and the brugmansia or trumpet angels (at the bottom with the white flowers. With added silver acrylic ink to make it seem more heavenly 🤍

Here is the second in a series that I’m working on, this one is entitled “mirth”. Two for mirth or two for joy. I combined this pair of magpies with pink magnolias which represent innocence, youth and joy. I wanted to make the magpies look like they are laughing or having fun and hoping that comes through with their open beaks and one flapping its wings 🩶

“Remembrance” - this was drawn from the beautiful purple poppies that you will see springing up soon! These flowers represent remembrance for all the animals that suffered during the war 🥺 I love poppies, and these are some of my favourite variety!

“Sorrow” - ones for sorrow 🖤 the lonely magpie from the well known (many versions of!) magpie rhyme originally recorded in 1780. This is my interpretation with added bleeding hearts which also represent sorrow (but are oh so beautiful don’t you think?). One of a series I want to produce over time 🤍
