This is the before and after of a garage conversion we undertook in Colchester.
With the aim to make this rather dull garage into a space for hobbies and any visitors our client may have, we organised some plans and got underway! It has a small bathroom and plenty of insulation, so this building can be used all year round and should stay warm or cool!
Seeing the results of this project was very satisfying and our client was over the moon. And we shall be returning to change the driveway next time!

We have been busy throughout 2023 and need to showcase some of our projects over the past year!
Here are some before and after pictures of a project we worked on this past summer.
This project was based in Colchester, and involved removing an old conservatory and external walls, and extending to the side and back of the property.
The new look kitchen and dining area is spacious, light, and perfect for daily use and special occasions. We worked closely with our lovely clients to ensure they were happy with every step of the project, start to finish. The underfloor insulation and heating, insulated walls and ceilings mean this extension will be energy efficient and warm during winter months as well as cool during the summer.

Here are some pictures of a garage conversion we started recently in Colchester.

We started by getting the roof removed and taking out the old brick parapet and excess brickwork. We then bricked up the garage door entrance ready for the two new windows. The scaffolding was then erected ready for the new gable roof. More to come!

This kitchen flooded and therefore our clients decided to go for a whole new look and kitchen including new units, flooring and appliances. As you can see the new kitchen is sleek, modern and looks fantastic. Another successful project and happy clients, just the way we like it!

The start of our work on our new project has begun!

We are going to be restoring and renovation this tired old house and garden in Wickham Bishops, with the aim to make it a beautiful home.
As you can see we were faced with a 'little' overgrowth in the garden, and the building has its fair share of imperfections. However the potential is great and we look forward to the challenge!

Here's a few snaps from a project we recently finished in Chelmsford!
Our client wanted their garage space converted into an insulated utility room with new side access and to remove the door and replace with a window at the rear. They also wanted a partition in to create a workshop space at the front of the garage.
Once we had cut the new door out and removed the old door, and cut out for the window we put new lintels in place and had some great brickwork done too.

This is an upcycled woodstore that we built for one of our clients! We repurposed gravel boards and pallets for the slatted sides and to create the flooring. We only needed a few lengths of 3x2, a sheet of plyboard, some felt and fixings to finish the job.

Another update from our project in Colchester! Here are some pics of the patio once it was just laid and grouted, and the turf we laid to really finish off the area! We were also asked to install stepping stones leading to the patio to really finish off the project, which we thought was a great idea!

Another update on our project in Colchester. The other half of the garden contained an old patio, lots of vegetation and a rotting fence. So we needed to remove the vegetation and fence, replace it with a sleeper bed and new corner fence, and lay a new Indian sandstone patio!
So far so good and very excited to show you the finished product!

An update from our project in Colchester! The shed base has been concreted and the brick wall has been topped with some coping stones for a little added protection, and they really help to aesthetically finish off the brickwork. And as you can see the wall will be rendered, this is a great way to once again protect, and tidy up the brickwork; which is perfect as the goal was to keep the wall and make it safe and not an eyesore.

We recently started a project in Colchester to remove an existing garden structure that was not only dated but becoming unsafe. As you can see we were able to remove the structure which left us with a tiled concrete pad, which isn't really ideal for the center of the garden..
So our client wanted us to remove the pad and then turf over the area, they also wanted an 8ftx10ft shed base in the space next to the pad to get the best out of the space. Therefore we got to work and the area already started to look completely different once we had removed the pad and dugout for the shed base. More to come!

This is a start to finish of a media wall we recently finished. The media wall was custom fit and built to incorporate the fireplace and TV into the space available. We built the timber frame central between the window and doors, and aimed to create a 'floating' look by leaving space next to the fireplace. This also creates some shelf space which opens up the options for ornaments or other tech such as games consoles or speakers. We used a dark, granite like quartz for the shelves, which match the aesthetic and colour scheme for the wall. All in all a sleek and modern addition to boost this living space!

Our project at Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Colchester is looking great. We're finishing up now and are really happy with how things have come along in the past few weeks! The painters have done a cracking job, especially with spots! And now all the plumbing has now been buttoned up, and not long until the electrics are as well. So far so good!

Our project at Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Colchester is progressing well. The plastering is underway; the worktops for the low walls are on, the doors have been hung and the arches are now fixed and in place! We have also included a washing/cleaning station in each room to really make this a versatile space.

Lets hope 2022 is a good one! 😁🤞

An update from our project in Cambridge! The SIP panels are up, lintels in, the screed is finished, and we have applied a vapour barrier throughout the inside, and the plasterboard is on! We have used Aqua Panels on the outside of the building and now it has been rendered, so it's really starting to come together! Now we have commenced the landscaping aspect of the project as you can see with this flawless porcelain patio. More updates to come!

An exciting new project over in Cambridge. A single story sleek eco build extension to this terraced property. So far we've had to be quite adventurous working out how to maneuver all the waste product from the rear, and the new materials in. We've done this by removing the front wall to the lounge and driving through the house with the dumper! Beyond this. In these photos shows the progress so far with ground clearance and leveling. New soak away and inspection chamber. Footings dug & poured. Single skin block work up to damp course and oversight build up with 150mm concrete slab poured.
Next phase of the project will be the walls and floor which are being made using SIPs(Structural Insulated Panels). Which will be super exciting as they will go up in just a few days and will create an air tight super insulated structure built out of renewable materials. I'll get some more photos added once this commences.
