Here are a few tips to help your skin wellness journey:​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Vitamin C is one of the holy grails of good skincare. I suggest plenty of it! Vitamin C is the perfect antidote to counteract a chocolate overdose as it’s a well-known antioxidant that fights acne from the outside in. Why not give our breathe calm face oil a go if you have over indulged and your skin is telling you so!? or a couple of drops of orange essential oil in the shower or a bowl of water for a facial steam.

Eating a protein or a good fat like peanut butter with chocolate can can help slow down your digestion and, as a result, reduce the spike in blood sugar that causes breakouts on your skin.

A unexpected surprise.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​One time during a period when I was a bit low my school was selling roses for you to give to other people on Valentine’s Day. I never expected anyone to get me one. So you can imagine my shock when I was handed a rose. All the note said as to who it was from was “A PERSON WHO APPRECIATES YOU.” I never found out who gave it to me but it brightened up my day and left a lasting impression on me. I will never forget it.​​​​​​​​

We get stressed our skin takes it badly. Our mind, gut and skin are connected. A calm mind creates calm skin, using natural essential oils, not only smell great but can heal our mind and create glowing skin that shows. Have you tried our new blend your own face oil? Find clear skin as well as a calm mind. Maybe start with ten minutes of you time focusing on a skincare routine with gua sha. Add 3/6 drops of face oil and holding the tool at a 30 to 45-degree angle, very gently pull/scrape it across your skin. As a rule, all movements should be upward and follow lymphatic flow. Repeat each movement three to five times before moving onto the next area of your skin. Love the skin you're in!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

The winter solstice, marking the shortest day and longest night of the year, has been culturally and spiritually significant throughout history. It brings reflection and introspection, acceptance, gratitude, appreciation, rest, and renewal. It is often a symbolism of rebirth for many cultures. The gradual lengthening of days symbolises the promise of new beginnings and the emergence from darkness. This symbolism can inspire hope and optimism.
 
For some, the winter solstice may coincide with challenges such as Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Recognising and addressing these challenges is crucial, and the solstice can be a reminder to seek support, practice self-compassion, and implement strategies for mental well-being. One of which is utilising aromatherapy to support you through this season. I want to encourage you to take small moments each day to breathe in some essential oils. Some favourites of mine at this time of year, refreshing peppermint, grounding earthy frankincense and uplifting orange. Inhale straight from the bottle or blend these magic oils together a couple drops of each in your diffuser with 100ml.
