Creative prayer walk (thank you Revd Janine Wilde for the inspirational seed planting and stone holding!) starting at Elmstead Parish Church and ending where new Tendring/Colchester Borders Garden Community will begin. Good to stride out with Sarah too. May God bless every step of the planning, the building and above all, the people who will make this place their home.

We continue to pray in preparation for voting in the General Election.

Today, as we reflect on the issue of defence, let us pray for those tasked with making decisions in this area and for the women and men of the armed forces who carry them out. 🙏

We continue to pray as we move towards the General Election and today we are asked to pray for the places in the world that need our help and financial aid. From the daily reflection, we are reminded that "the issues of overseas aid are, of course, complex, and easily forgotten in an election campaign.

Let us pray today for courage, wisdom and generosity in our care. And let us pray, too, for the poorest in the world.

Guide the leaders of the world
with wisdom and compassion,
bring relief to those who suffer,
and lead us towards a world without hunger.
Hear us, good Lord.
Amen."

Wonderful, uplifting service at St Mary’s Church, Lawford where the Church wardens were admitted for another year or for the first time. We welcome Ben into his new role and pray God’s blessing on him and our other wardens Marie and Ruth.

As we prepare to vote at the General Election, today we are encouraged to pray for all those involved in education: professionals and volunteers, teachers and learners. Let’s pray for safety and good practice, for equal access and opportunity. And let us give thanks for all that is life-giving and beneficial in education.

“Give wisdom and compassion to those who teach,
strength to those who lead our schools,
and guidance to those who set policy.
Hear us, good Lord.”
