Treat, or treat?

Yeah you read that right, your eyes are not playing tricks on you. As Halloween looms, and fancy dress costumes are dusted off, or decorations start to appear, there's one part of the house that always remains spooky, the dungeon. And what does every dungeon have? Locks, locks attached to chains, chains within jail cells.

What does any of this have to do with Oak Saw though? Well, those locks will require keys, keys that you won't want to lose. So with our wall mounted padlock key hook, you'll never lose a single key. Made from a single piece of oak, this key holder is lovely and sturdy, perfect for any dwelling.

Our CNC machine cuts all of our products with precision, so when it comes to measurements, you get exactly what you asked for.

Can you believe it?!

September already, which in our minds means we've officially entered the run up to those dark, chilly nights snuggled around the fire. We won't deny it either, it's getting a little nippy out (he says whilst wearing shorts but also wrapped in a blanket).

One thing we do admire this time of year though is candle light. Flickering flames dancing around never fails to mesmerise us. The glow always makes the room feel so atmospheric, wouldn't you agree? - thoughts and opinions in the comments below, please.

If you're not a candle lover yourself, no doubt theres a candle lover in your life, perhaps they're part of a satanic cult, we don't judge! Either way, our tea light holders make a beautiful addition to any candle lovers display.

Here at Oak Saw we pride ourselves on providing an accurate and precise cut to our products. However, with our mission to make nature your feature, and drawing inspiration from the forest, we wouldn't be true to our roots if we failed to implement some element of natural wood textures and appearance into some of our designs, would we?

This live-edge chopping board is carved out of one single piece of oak. We work on the top, the bottom, and three of the sides, leaving one side just as it was when it stood tall amongst its fellow tree companions. This gives a superb rustic allure to the board that would feel right at home in a budding nature lovers kitchen (or any stylish kitchen for that matter!).

As each piece of wood we use is unique, no two boards are the same, which makes these boards just that little bit more extra special. Available in two sizes, though i'm sure we could knock something up if you had a special request.

Remember to take a break...

Weeks ago we said we were back after a short holiday, and we were. Then life throws a curveball at you. So now after another brief hiatus to realign the chakras, we're back for real this time, and we're coming out swinging!

Remember, burnout is real, and it's just as important to take a break when you need to as it is getting down to business. Life is about the journey, not the destination, and you won't enjoy it if you're stressed, worried, or finding it tough to do what you do day-to-day. Sometimes all your body needs is a few days, switch off, and let time work things out. Just like our saws, if we're running them constantly, they're going to overheat.

Thats right, August may have only just popped up, but like that famous line from Steven Spielberg's Lord of the Rings, "Winter is coming," we like to be prepared. And, knowing how the season of giving is quite a mad one, we figured it be best we open our order books sooner rather than later - because we want to ensure all of you get those bespoke gifts in and fulfilled in plenty time.

At Oak Saw, all of our products are created using a CAD machine (computer aided design). No, that does not mean machinery does all the work for us, there is a shed load of work that needs to be done by hand! What It means is that when it comes to producing the final product, everything is pinpoint accurate and perfect, just the way it should be.

As a buyer, if you come to us with specific requirements, say dimensions for a plaque with engraving in a specific place, you know you can trust us to fulfil that order. Likewise, if you request a custom design from us and we show you the planned design before going to manufacture (which we will always do), you can trust us that your final product will be exactly how it should.

We are not like other woodcraft businesses that work to rough estimates, or try to get things right and hope for the best. We work to perfection, which saves you time, money, and bother, and gives us peace of mind knowing we have created for you the best version of a design.

P.S. He was only outside for a couple of minutes and has a cooling bandana, cooling mat and fans galore. He gets to stay much cooler than we do, pampered pooch 😂
