Step 1: Planning the Products Before I even start, I decide which products I’ll be crafting. This involves considering the stock levels, your feedback, and current orders. For this batch, we’re focusing on our customer favourites: Firm and Nourish Moisturiser and Firm and Nourish Mask.

Step 2: Checking Ingredients Next, I ensure all the necessary ingredients are in stock. Each product requires a precise mix of natural ingredients like Hyaluronic acid, Rose water, Spilanthes acmella extract, and Cucumber extract. I always use the highest quality ingredients, to guarantee the best results for your skin.

Step 3: Cleaning and Sanitising. Cleanliness is paramount in skincare formulation. Starting with thoroughly cleaning and sanitising the workspace to create a clean environment. Then, moving on to cleaning all the equipment and machinery. This includes everything from mixing bowls to pipettes, ensuring there’s no cross-contamination.

I’m excited to share a little story about the evolution of my skincare formulations. I used to rely on a moisturizing ingredient with asparagus extract. However, one day, I noticed the constituents had changed. This prompted me to search for a better alternative, and that’s when I discovered the magic of Hyaluronic Acid.

I just completed a Mini Lab course with Formula Botanica on the incredible ingredient, Hyaluronic Acid! 🎉 This powerhouse ingredient has been a game-changer in my formulations, and I’m so excited to share why.

Discovered in the 1930s, Hyaluronic Acid has earned the nickname "the fountain of youth" and for good reason.

It is naturally present in our skin cells and is key to maintaining our skin’s plumpness by retaining moisture. Although our bodies produce it, production decreases as we age. 💧

What makes Hyaluronic Acid so special? It can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water, making it one of the best ingredients for hydration. Plus, because it’s naturally found in our connective tissues, particularly the skin, it’s rare to experience an allergic reaction. 🌿

🌞 Gone but not forgotten! 🌞

Tomorrow marks a week since the end of our wonderful Summer Solstice Retreat. I'm missing my pod - my accommodation at Haybergill! I managed to start as I meant to go on, but it's gone by the wayside a little. 😅 I've been busy stocking up on products and packaging orders. Thank you so much for your support!

🌿✨ Just returned from an incredible three-day retreat organized by Guru Holistics and Wellness by Tal at the beautiful Haybergill Retreat Centre in Cumbria. This retreat, to celebrate the Summer Solstice, was all about self-care, and it was exactly what I needed! We immersed ourselves in yoga, meditation, and a variety of other activities, and it was simply glorious. Just have a look at all those smiley faces!
There is nothing like spending time with like-minded women who are supportive, kind, and caring. We laughed, cried, danced, sang, and allowed ourselves to just BE! On top of all this, I had two amazing treatments that left me feeling rejuvenated and like a new woman.
The Haybergill Retreat Centre is a gem – this is my second retreat there, and they really do spoil you! The food is absolutely amazing and abundant, catering to any dietary requirements you might have. The meals are prepared and served with such care, and the staff just melt away, leaving you to enjoy every bite, and continue with your retreat.
I can't recommend this retreat enough! If you're looking for a place to recharge and connect with wonderful women, this is it. Thank you, Ann Ball and Wellness with Tal , for an unforgettable experience. 🌸💆‍♀️

Today, I want to give a huge shoutout to the amazing people who have been instrumental in building and maintaining the Imago Skincare website. As many of you know, my technology skills are legendary... for all the wrong reasons! 😅
I started out with a really basic website and it badly needed updating!
That's when we found the expertise of Peter Surridge from Web Solutions. The new setup was a massive success, and when we faced issues with our hosting company, Peter stepped in to save the day. He and his team now host and monitor the website, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Peter has also been coaching me on how to maximise the impact of the website—his patience deserves a medal! He has been incredibly supportive, and I couldn't wish for better support.
Exciting times are ahead as Peter and his wonderful team are currently working on an update and new look for the website. Keep an eye out—I'll let you know when it's ready to be viewed!
