Today was a very special day in St. Columba’s as we welcomed our pupils back to school and also began our golden anniversary celebrations. 🎒📚🎉

A warm welcome to our Year One pupils who started school today, 50 years after St Columba’s opened its doors for the first time. 🎒🌟

The Aghadowey bus will be in operation at 12 noon on Monday.

❌ Please note that neither the Garvagh Road nor Ulster Bus will be operating at this time. ❌

Congratulations to Cora Deighan who took part in the GAA INTO RESPECT Exhibition Games in Croke Park today during the camogie semi finals between Galway and Waterford and the hurling semi finals between Limerick and Cork.
Cora took part in CNB Doire camogie skills day back in January and won first place giving her this wonderful opportunity to play with girls from all over Ireland. We hope Cora and her family enjoyed this wonderful occasion in Croker.

Today is a sad day in St. Columba’s as we bid farewell to Mrs Doherty and Mr McLaughlin. We wish them both all the very best as they pursue pastures new!

What a lovely Summer surprise for our boys and girls this afternoon as they enjoyed an ice-cream treat thanks to the generosity of Shauna and Damien McGregor.

We have our final Red & White Day of the school year on the last day of term on Friday 28th June. Let’s get this Derry team as much support as possible this Sunday in Croke Park. 🔴⚪️

Year 7 spent time with their Year 2 buddies today on their last day in St. Columba’s. The children enjoyed exploring the outdoor garden and reading stories together. What great role models you have been!

Year 6 enjoyed picking and preparing their juicy carrots for a healthy snack today. 🥕
