Just a quick thank you for all the orders in the last week or so.
We've had afternoon teas, selections of cakes, cheesecakes and pastry's and a buffet.
Loved doing them so keep the orders coming.
If there's anything not on the list that you fancy let us know and we'll let you know if we can make it for you. That goes for any intolerances or allergies too.

If you know of any cafes or restaurants that would like to buy our baking then let us know that too.

We now have our order for collection menu ready.
We need 48 hours notice please and payment to be made by bank transfer once order is confirmed.
There are no prices on the list at present but once we are more organised we will confirm the prices of everything. If there is something you fancy please let us know and we'll let you know how much they are.
Don't forget these are all made by us from scratch. Nothing is 'bought in'.

When you've made a caramel cheesecake for a special order today (I'll share later 😊) you have to sample it to make sure it is OK, don't you? 😜😋

Been baking today for an order placed before we closed the cafe. I absolutely loved being back in the baking seat 😊. I will post the info about ordering from us and collection etc this weekend.
Please keep my hubby happy by placing orders and keeping me busy doing what I love. I'm a miserable so and so when I'm not baking and I couldn't possibly eat everything I would like to bake (I would give it a good try though 😜).

Just a quick thank you to everyone that came to see us in our last few days at the cafe.

Very emotional day today but thankfully being busy took our minds off the last day blues.

We truly are sorry to close but hopefully many of our customers will be able to place orders for collection from us.

We will be baking at the cafe for a little while until we get our home kitchen ready and registered with the council. The cafe itself will be closed though - sorry.

It is fantastic that we have made a difference to people wanting to eat out safely and we also really appreciate the comments and messages about wanting to buy from us at home and make your celebration cakes too.

We already supply our produce to a cafe and are hoping we can do a little bit more of that too so you will have more choices at other eating establishments.

Please do pop in to see us before we close as it would be lovely to see you all for a last time in the cafe. And if you have any special requests let us know and we will do our very best to make them for when you come in.

To all our customers and friends

We, at The Cosy Byre, have made the extremely sad decision to close our beloved cafe. Our last day will be Saturday 12th August 2023.

This decision has not been made lightly as we realise the disappointment this will be to our regular customers, and have absolutely loved seeing people's reactions when they realise they can eat anything without fear of cross contamination. However, due to the ever increasing costs of utilities, food items (specifically gf) etc. we cannot operate without significantly increasing our prices. This is something we don't want to do as we realise everyone is in the same boat, finding their own costs increasing.

If anyone has an outstanding voucher, please do come in and use it before we close our doors permanently.

Tom and I are still debating whether to have a little bakery at home where we can prepare pre-ordered items for collection from our home near Edmundbyers. We would love to still do celebration cakes for you, alongside the usual cakes, pies, scones, cheesecakes etc. Let us know if this is something you'd be interested in on our FB page as we will be keeping this running for a while at least.

We are delighted to announce our next workshop is a dried flower wreath ran by Bloomhead on Saturday 8th July at 2pm. This workshop is £50 pp including coffee and cake or you can upgrade to an afternoon tea.

Learn to make a beautiful and everlasting wreath with dried flowers in this creative wreath making workshop.

For the base we will be using hand woven willow rings, which then will be adorned with carefully selected dried flowers of your choice.

This is a relaxed floristry masterclass focused on learning new skills and having a creative time. All levels and abilities are welcome.

You can pay in the cafe Wednesday to Saturday and we will shortly be posting the event brite link.
