Rachel trained at the Bristol Academy of Performing Arts before attending The Royal Academy of Music where she graduated with distinction.

Rachel was delighted to have been part of Her Majesty's 'Golden Jubilee Celebration' as a vocalist at Buckingham Palace.

Television and Radio credits include 'An Enchanted Evening' on the BBC (Theatre Royal Drury Lane) Soprano soloist 'Cabot the Musical' for BBC Archive, Maria in 'West Side Story' for BBC Bristol, a commercial for 'Linx Visual Media' as principal dancer and guest vocalist on boy band 'Soul Intentions' album. Rachel appeared on the 'Love Never Dies' Album after working with Andrew Lloyd Webber in the workshop for the new production. This lead on to working in the 'Wizard of Oz' workshop and on the cast album.

(Broadway Theatre) Toni in The Young Ones (Upstairs at the Gatehouse) Soloist/Swing in Thursford Christmas Spectacular (Thursford Enterprises).

We had a brilliant night at the reopening of Come From Away UK last night at the Phoenix Theatre London! Great to see the fantastic Jenna Boyd back as Beulah along with a superb cast! We loved being back at the Rock!

We're proud to be hosting a special NHS Social Care and Frontline Workers Day 'Thank You' event at the Theatre at 7pm on Monday 5th July - raising money for crucial NHS charities and thanking those that have contributed so much in the fight against Covid-19.

We’ll be joined by several well-known local and national stars across our live programme including Joe McElderry, Steffen Peddie, Cal Halbert and Tom Whalley. We can’t wait to share this great night of entertainment, filled with good humour and music performed on the Tyne Theatre stage.

This live-streamed event is free to watch, but we are asking for donations in order to raise much needed funds for the two chosen charities; NHS Charities Together and the National Care Association.

West End Prep is an Elite Training programme for young performers based in the North East of England and soon to be launching in Manchester.

Carly Burns is from the North East of England and trained in Musical Theatre at Mountview.

Theatre credits include: ‘Penny Pingleton’ in Hairspray (Royal Caribbean Productions), ‘Ensemble/Tribe member’ in ‘Hair’ (West End Live), ‘Acid Queen’ in The Who’s Tommy (Greenwich Theatre), ‘Ensemble and 1st cover Rapunzel/Gothel’ in Rapunzel the Musical (Gordon Craig), ‘Cinderella’ in Cinderella (QDOS Entertainment), ‘Swing’ in Lazy Town Live (UK Tour).

The second successful Search for a Star graduate featuring in our next show is Jorja Foster.

Training: Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama, 2020 Graduate.

Credits: Vocalist with Haven Theatre Company, Ella in After it Rains (Original Cast
Recording) & Ensemble in Peter Pan (Derby Theatre)

Credits Whilst in Training: Rita O'Grady in Made in Dagenham & Carla in Nine.

2020 was definitely full of ups and downs! From stacking shelves in her local CO-OP
to working for a chicken rotisserie business, Jorja is now doing something she loves
as part of the Haven Theatre Company’s team, singing at Hopton-on-Sea.

Jorja is beyond thrilled and extremely grateful to have been given this amazing
opportunity from "Waiting in the Wings", not only to get into a theatre and sing
again, but to share the stage with some of the most talented performers in the industry!

Earlier this year we launched a "Search for a Star", giving 2020 Musical Theatre graduates the opportunity to perform in one of our shows alongside our West End Stars. We received so many amazing entries we couldn't choose just two winners and have invited another two future stars to feature in our next show.

The next successful graduate joining us is Nathan Shaw.

Nathan is a 2020 Musical Theatre Graduate from Performance Preparation Academy (PPA) in Guildford. He made his Professional Graduate Debut playing Darren in Next Thing You Know at The Garden Theatre in 2020.

Credits whilst Training include Drew in Rock Of Ages, Sir Lancelot in Spamalot and Frederick
Trumper (The American) in Chess.
