Yes skin care and prep is the key to achieve that healthy, glowy, dewy makeup look ✨
However, the real major key here is NOT SETTING THE MAKEUP WITH POWDER
And do you know what happens when you don't set your makeup with powder... it doesn't last as long
The idea behind dewy skin is that it looks young, fresh and not made up. But like most makeup looks that people think look "natural," it actually takes time, the correct products, and a few other factors you may not have access to to get it right.
Dewy Makeup looks will 100% require your artist to be booked for touch ups throughout the day if you want your makeup staying in place all day X
If you don't have PERFECT skin Dewy Makeup is definitely not for you ( and who has perfect skin?!?) (🧐
Dry, uneven or dehydrated skin isn't going to work here. If you regularly cleanse, exfoliate (this is huge) and moisturize, then you have a better chance of achieving the look. This is a good habit to have whether you want the dewy look or not, so get to it!On the other hand, if you have oily skin, this isn't the look for you. Adding shine to an oily skin is going to make you look, well, greasy. 😫
In conclusion while Dewy Makeup Look radiant and beautiful they are best suited to editorial makeup &
Photoshoots. If you need a long lasting makeup application, that has to withstand tears, sweat, hugs and 8+ hours wear a matte application may be a better option for you! Plus we can always incorporate glowy products in a matte makeup application to make you look more radiant 🤩
