Improvement again!!

first half was the best first half of the season. We were all over them but switched off when the ref didn't give a goal which 3-4 players said was over the line and then they scored their 2nd literally seconds later. Played out from the back well, pressed well and worked hard for each other. 2nd half slipped a bit and we didn't have much going forwards.

Well done lads, this season was all about gaining that team work and learning.

We battled hard today and some great performances especially from men of the match yannick and zee great work rate and tempo, came away with the loss but a much better performance in a new formation, not the ideal referee performance but that happens. Couple of mistakes for the goals but we build on this performance today lads...heads up

Folly lane race night!

After another improvement from the lads we gained our first 3pts, a few errors in marking/going with runners and defending set pieces first half but we resolved that for the second half but team play and determination was great some of the movement was better and the tempo grew as we went on, always learning onwards and upwards lads

W2-1 vs whitnash

After last week we wanted a massive improvement and we got it.
Good performance today lads against Woodlands conceded after 20 mins but held our own at times the better side . Then a moment of madness from the ref giving them a penalty, shocking decision in our view and 0-2 down at the half. Made a tactical change bringing on magoo and going 2 up top , which worked as he smashed one in from 25yds. Work rate was excellent today from all but couldn’t get the equaliser no matter how hard you tried . It’s coming boys ,, the performance was much better today and the quality of football is improving boys. Let’s keep up the performance’s and see you all at training on Tuesday ❤️🖤

Cup game vs 2 leagues above. Well below what we've been progressing too so a step back today, held them to 1-0 first half but unfortunately fell apart second losing 6-0, on the plus side we are better than that performance.

Firstly welcome to the new signings..

Tried a new formation today and it didn't work as planned but we kept going unfortunately a sloppy goal and we went in at half time 1-0 down, a change of formation to tighten up the midfield brought some relief but we just couldn't get that quick football going like training, we lost possession to easy and just couldn't get the link going with the forward line, but like we say its a development team so we learn from our mistakes and improve our weaknesses, lets get the quick football up again be a better option off the ball and keep possession for longer periods while closing down as a team, it will come eventually lads so keep them heads up and we go again..

Another improvement this week so it's going in the right direction, great freekick from tom to make it 1-0 to Folly, we held on to the 89th minute with some decent pressure and closing down but they nick it right at the end...but overall a another improvement and some decent displays, ref let us down so the manager (me) had to do it and unfortunately we should have had a pen I've been told 😢 sorry lads...onwards and upwards we go..man of the match Nathan.well done lads keep improving!!! Proud of you all.

So this is how a development team works we look at the negative and improve and look at our positives and build on that.. a team improvement from the last game no one had a bad game..

Too many team silly mistakes all over the pitch, more work rate needed, overrun in the middle of the pitch and giving them too many free headers and 50/50 challenges, Everytime the ball went forward it came straight back again because we weren't playing simple football regularly enough..

BUT the few times that we did get the ball down and play we looked good and created chances. If we got the ball down and played more with people offering options we would have been better, so its there we just need to keep it going and that starts in training..
