With so much incredible football taking place over the past couple of weeks; Luton being promoted to the premier league and Manchester City winning the FA cup at the weekend we have been reminded of Captain Sir Tom's World Record as the oldest person to reach no1 in the charts for his cover of You'll Never Walk Alone with Michael Ball and the NHS Voices of Care Choir. He always loved the atmosphere at live games, especially the singing!

It's been 3 years since Captain Sir Tom Moore was made an honorary member of the Lord’s Taverners in recognition of his heroic efforts raising money for NHS Charities.

This is a huge honour, and one that is usually reserved for sitting Prime Ministers, England cricket captains and overseas Test cricket captains.

The Lord’s Taverners CEO, Paul Robin said:
“Captain Tom’s efforts captured the hearts of the nation and his dedication and commitment to a cause that touches us all, that makes him a great role model to the country and all the young people we support on our programmes. His family are long-term supporters of the charity which is why we are delighted to be able to present him with an honorary membership.”

Captain Sir Tom was a huge cricket fan, and this honour made him extremely proud 🏏✨

Today is the Anniversary of Captain Sir Tom's first lap of his garden, a very special day indeed.

What started as a family challenge following Captain Sir Tom's hip replacement snowballed into him, giving the nation and world hope in our darkest hour.

This behind the scenes snap was captured during Tom's final few days of walking the 100 laps at his home.

The picture features Sir Captain Tom, sharing a little joke with his daughter Hannah, and granddaughter, Georgia.

Captain Sir Tom was a member of the British Army, and served in India and Burma during the Second World War.

He is pictured here, seated on a Valentine Tank, with members of 146th Regiment Royal Armoured Corps (9th Duke of Wellington's Regiment).

This wonderful photograph was taken circa 1941, in Khadki (formerly Kirkee), Pune (formerly Poona), India.

Well, this just fills our hearts on this lovely Monday. This adorable crocheted doll was created for a little boy who was missing his Grandad.

Today, we wanted to evoke positive thinking and hope for our followers with this quote by Captain Sir Tom Moore. Captain Tom maintained his positive attitude throughout his lifetime, inspiring millions of people through his achievements.

At the foundation, we were incredibly touched to receive these models by Mark Peacock to commemorate Captain Sir Tom's service in the Far East from 1941-1944. We wanted to share these beautiful models with our followers, as well as the kind words Mr Peacock included with his gift - "I hope that they pass muster and do the man justice. He was everything, and everyone that we should all aspire to be". Thank you for sharing this wonderful tribute with us!

Yesterday would have been your 102nd birthday, it was also two years since you gave the world hope when we needed it most. You, Captain Sir Tom, are and continue to be, an inspiration to us all. In your footsteps, we are striving for a world without ageism.

Today marks one year since the passing of a national hero, Captain Sir Tom Moore.

On this anniversary, we remember a figure of inspiration who showed the world how much you can still achieve, even at the grand age of 100. He had started to feel invisible as an older man before he moved in with his eldest daughter and his grandchildren, and they never could have expected how much magic he brought into their lives.

He is dearly missed and today we celebrate the hope that he gave us all when we needed it most.

These little ones have been helping with the launch of a new community art project by using Captain Sir Tom's 100th birthday cards as inspiration for a mural of him. We are very touched that his legacy of inspiring hope continues to bring communities together.
