I’ve decided to set 2nd chance up after both having been through the justice system myself and finding it hard to find jobs upon release from prison. Once gaining employment realised that its the initial first step that’s the hardest therefore figured its through fear of rejection that most ex offenders stumble at this first hurdle. Having an offending background and having spent time in prison with other inmates I have a great understanding of how they think and if they are willing to work. That being said this company is the ideal stepping stone for taking the fear of rejection and turning that into a feeling of optimism about how they can climb the employment ladder and in essence change the future of the many who genuinely want that second chance.
