Our Story

The Welcome Centre is a purpose built conference and events centre located on the edge of Coventry city in the beautiful county of Warwickshire. Catering for groups of up to 650, the Welcome Centre is one of the largest such facilities in the Midlands providing excellent transport links, state-of-the-art facilities and exceptional customer service, the Welcome Centre is the perfect venue for your next event.

The Welcome Centre is the home of CLM Church (and our owner), a vibrant, multi-national church with over 50 different nationalities represented - on a typical Sunday over 1,000 people pass through the doors! The church was founded in Coventry 80 years ago, and has had a strong presence in the city with a vision to serve and help the poor, the disadvantaged and the social excluded through the provision of practical help and support, education and work experience.

A profitable and charitable cause | The profits of The Welcome Centre (CLM Enterprises Ltd) help support many of the mission and compassion ministries of CLM, including: Foodbank, Good Neighbours (serving the elderly in social isolation with food), Carriers of Hope (supporting refugees), CAP (supports people who are seeking to help themselves become debt free) and Hope for Justice (seeking to bring an end to modern slavery).

In addition to waste recycling, our building has an innovative rain harvesting system that allows us reduce our reliance on external water supplies. In our in-house café and for conference breaks, we only use certified Fairtrade Coffee in Café Life and where possible seek to support local food producers and suppliers. Lastly, as well as providing employment in the local community, we also provide apprenticeship training and voluntary opportunities.
