Death Save Gaming Club

This Sunday we shall be returning to the arches for our usual evening of board games and fun
This week we have an introduction to magic so if you have ever fancied learning the game come down and get involved

We will also be raffling off a mtg deck worth over £50 on the night
And all proceeds from this AND the door will be donated to the princes trust charity

All the usual warhammer 40K , AOS , hobby space etc is available aswell

So we have 3 weeks before our teams event

Some shots from another belting Sunday session! Tyranids took on the might of the Dark angels and the Admech slugged it out against the blood hungry World Eaters! A fantastic DnD one shot and a few hands of Magic the gathering also threw into the mix!

A spur of the moment session yesterday evening as we had a beginners game

MISSION RULE:

FOG OF WAR:
"IN THE FIRST BATTLE ROUND, UNITS HAVE THE BENEFIT OF COVER, AND PLAYERS CANNOT USE CORE STRATAGEMS.

Battlefield Rule:
UNSTABLE GROUND {HOMEBREW}
"The battlefield is plagued by tectonic instability, causing the ground to crumble and shift beneath the feet of the warriors. Models must navigate this treacherous terrain carefully, while those capable of flight remain unaffected. Starting from Turn 2, sections of the battlefield begin to collapse, shrinking the available space."

Turn 2: At the start of the second turn, the battlefield edges begin to shrink by 6” from each table edge. Any non-FLY units caught outside this new boundary must pass a Dangerous Terrain test (roll a D6; on a roll of 1, the unit suffers D6 mortal wounds).

Turn 3: At the start of the third turn, the battlefield edges shrink by an additional 6” from each table edge. Any non-FLY units caught outside this new boundary must pass a Dangerous Terrain test.

Turn 4: At the start of the fourth turn, the battlefield edges shrink by another 6” from each table edge. Any non-FLY units caught outside this new boundary must pass a Dangerous Terrain test.

Turn 5: The battlefield edges continue to shrink by 6” from each table edge at the start of each turn until the game ends. Any non-FLY units caught outside this new boundary must pass a Dangerous Terrain test.
Special Rules:

Flyers Unaffected: Units with the FLY keyword are unaffected by the shrinking boundaries and do not need to take Dangerous Terrain tests.

Central Convergence: Starting from Turn 3, an objective marker is placed at the center of the battlefield. Controlling this objective at the end of each turn from Turn 3 onwards scores 5 points.

Panic and Desperation: Non-FLY units within 3” of the shrinking edge at the start of their turn must make a BATTLESHOCK TEST. If failed, they suffer D6 mortal wounds as they are caught in the unstable ground in addition to normal penalties incurred by failed battleshock tests.
