Warwick Student Cinema (WSC) is the student run cinema at the University of Warwick, operating out of a 336 person capacity lecture theatre, and is currently the only UK film society with the capability to show 70 mm film. The Society seeks to show

Shoutout to the Films Officers for organising this line-up and the Publicity team for putting this schedule together - stop by L3 to pick up plenty more of our publicity!

Hey all, interrupting your summer to give you a chance to submit requests for films you want us to show next academic year!
Make a note in your calendars for the 17th of June 2022 because we've got an exciting new film added to our line-up. We're proud to be showing "Everything Everywhere All At Once" directed by the Daniels, an original, hilarious, overwhelmingly emotional spin on the multiverse story that has seen incredible acclaim since its (strangely structured) release. Tell your friends, tell your family, don't miss seeing this beauty on the big screen!!
The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and the Student Cinema is excited to invite you all to our Summer term screenings!! Let us know which films you're most hyped for! (I'm dying to see Barry Lyndon and The Royal Tenenbaums on that beautiful L3 big screen π)
Got nothing on today? Want some free munchies? Come to our Getting Involved Meeting today at 3pm in L3, have some FREE PIZZA, and hear all about the fun ways to get involved with Warwick Student Cinema! From Stewarding to IT to Marketing, there's a team for everyone - see you there! πππππ
It's hereeeeeeee, the films have finally πn finalised, and we can now release the schedule for Spring Term 2022!!!
What're you coming too?
I'm excited for Inception NGL π. Dunno why Die Hard is on there it's not even Christmas π.....
WE'RE BAAAAAACK!!!!! π€©π€©π€©π€©π€©π€© Our first film of term is, by overwhelming demand, the all-time great THE IRON GIANT -- come relive your childhood and chill before term starts.
We'll be releasing the term poster just as soon as we've put the last finishing touches to it (big thank you to all the studios who cancelled film releases with no notice last week π) BUT if you have a click over to warwick.film/thisseason you can have a lil' sneak peek.
SEE YOU SOON
That's a wrap on Term 1! Thank you to everyone who came to the meal last night, it was a lot of fun - and to everyone who has got involved with socials this term, thank you for being such good sports! Watch this space for next term's socials, and we're looking forward to seeing you all after the holidays :)) from Anna and Sueda x
How is it the end of our schedule already?!
The 35mm print of Love Actually is looking pretty snazzy β come drag your flatmates, bring your festive spirit and celebrate the end of term. Tickets at warwick.film/thisseason
Thanks to everyone who braved the snow on Saturday and came to Birmingham Xmas Market! πβοΈπ
Thank you RAWArts (RAW 1251AM) for having us on! Earlier Anna Taylor and Ethan Graham were on the RAW Arts show to talk a little bit about WSC, what we do as a society and ways to get involved.
Whether you'd just like to occasionally steward with us, or get more involved with our publicity, marketing and IT teams, we're always looking to bring new people into the society! It's a great way to meet new people, both in your section of the society and in other teams at our weekly socials! If you'd like to get involved, head over to warwick.film or talk to us at one of our shows in L3 (in the science concourse opposite the library) and see what we've got going on! We run shows every night of the week except Wednesday, and would love to see some new faces! βΊοΈ
Thank you Warwick SU for letting us take up half of your reception with the ridonkulously massive original 70mm print of David Lynch's Dune β€οΈ
Featuring noted Warwick student-for-a-term Sting in nothing but a random winged codpiece, I guarantee you're not doing anything better than this on a Sunday afternoon.

Just running the 35mm print of Phantom Thread through our fancy new film cleaner, genuinely cannot wait to see it on screen (yes Iβm biased because we also pick films weβre hyped about, sue me (and also come to programming meetings and get involved))
Tickets, as ever, at warwick.film/thisseason
Please forgive us for banging on about Tenet but weβre high on 70mm (and sleep deprivation getting ready last night).
Thereβs still a chance to catch the print at 9:30 before itβs locked back in the Warner vaults!
They don't even come CLOSE to doing it justice, but we couldn't resist sharing a few pictures from making up our 70mm print of Tenet because it practically *glows* on the bench.
So far we're the only cinema in the UK outside of Leicester Square to be allowed access to the archived print so please don't miss out, we promise you it's worth seeing again!

Filmsoc road trip! We now have better-late-than-never flyers for the LotR AllNighter that is *TONIGHT* (gotta love print delays...) and also these random cardboard boxes...
Kinda scared to open them in case a hiding Chris Nolan pops out and blasts a foghorn in our ears...
THIS WEEKEND: all the rings! (and also refreshing yet explosive dairy-based drinks):
- The Lord of the Rings AllNighter! A time-honoured FilmSoc tradition is back and who doesn't want to sleep over at WSC? π§
- Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Tickets for this one have been going fast so come along if you missed it in cinemas the first time (or even if you didn't). π
- Gunpowder Milkshake on 35mm film. Breaking the 'rings' theme but following in the hallowed footsteps of the New Bev and the Prince Charles, we think we're only the 4th cinema in the world to show this on film. π₯π½οΈ
