In the spirit of spooky season, why not ask yourself the scariest question of all? "Have I got an asbestos survey?" 🎃

If your property was built prior to 1999 it's likely your premises contains asbestos and will require an asbestos survey!! 💀😨

So why do YOU need an asbestos survey?
If your (non-domestic) property was built before 2000, there is a legal duty to have an asbestos survey in place. This duty is imposed by the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. A management survey should discover any potential materials that contain asbestos-containing materials (ACMs).

If you are planning work on a property that exceeds the scope of the original survey, then you will need a more detailed (invasive) survey before you can proceed. This is a legal requirement under the asbestos regulations.
