A new journey has begun

I’m super excited to announce the arrival of our new therapist Sarah to the team!

Sarah has been working for 10years in the industry. She has also worked past events with me, mobile and at other clinics. Her skills included Sports Massage, Holistic massage, Pregnancy Massage, Kinesio taping and Reflexology (I tried it out today… I’m a fan).

In her free time Sarah enjoys arts/crafts, walking her dogs, gardening, spending time with family and friends. She’s also a tropic skincare ambassador.

She will be working Thurs afternoons 1pm onwards and Saturday 9-12pm.

Something to think about ladies …..

"Maar waarom moet die bh dan uit?" Werd mij weer gevraagd vandaag.
Dus nog maar eens uitgelegd: Op dit plaatje zie je hoe de lymfe verdeeld is over de borsten. We hebben heel veel lymfe in ons lichaam, veel meer dan bloed.
De lymfe heeft echter geen pomp zoals het bloed heeft met t hart. De lymfe is onze vuil-ophaal dienst en moet ervoor zorgen dat alle weefsels en organen opgeruimd blijven van afvalstoffen. Het lichaam plaatst afvalstoffen die we niet goed kunnen afvoeren op een plaats waar het veilig opslaan is……en dat zijn onze borsten; omdat het 'veilig' vetweefsel is om troep in op te slaan. Buiten het lichaam, veel vetweefsel én geen vitale organen. Het lichaam houdt daarmee de gifstoffen weg van de vitale organen. Als wij een bh dragen dan zorgen we dat de lymfe in het gebied van de borsten minder goed kan stromen en dus minder goed de gifstoffen kan afvoeren.
Met name de beugel bh ligt op een belangrijke afvoerplaats van lymfe richting de oksel. Omdat we de lymfe 'op slot' zetten verhinderen we dat er een goede afvoer is. Zo houden we afvalstoffen vast in onze borsten. Dat willen we natuurlijk niet!

Dus de bh moet vaker uit. Borsten moeten wiebelen dames!!
Dus 3 tips:
1. de bh zo veel mogelijk uit
2. droogborstelen, zie daarvoor de video met instructie op onze website
3. masseer de borsten onder de do**he en strijk weg richting de oksel.

Met thermografie zien we enorme verbeteringen ontstaan als vrouwen deze drie tips ter harte nemen. Maar niet alleen leuk voor je thermogram, je borsten zullen meer ontspannen aanvoelen, minder pijnlijk, minder knobbelig en heerlijk zacht!!!

NOT SURE IF THIS IS STUPID OR BRAVE?
My first 21 day chalky completed. 9lbs down.

Another thing I can’t believe Im doing on social media. Probably post it then turn my phone off 😅🙈 Feel so sick writing this, but I’m doing it in hope that it will inspire people (even if it’s just one person) to make that change that they keep saying they’ll make but never do.
“Yes I’ll lose weight”
“I’m going to start dieting.”
“No more takeaways”
“I’m going to join the gym”
“Diet starts Monday”
That was me up until a month ago.
Even tho the changes in my physical appearance are small, they’re still changes! And I’m so proud to see them. Looking in the mirror everyday, I felt nothing was changing. Even the scales couldn’t make their mind up. But the power of taking pictures of your journey is so beneficial, it’s got me even more motivated to keep going.
So, keep following my journey, I’m no where near done!

Struggling to lose fat, but you’re training hard, you’re ticking every box with your nutrition & you’re sleeping sufficiently? Could the culprit be your N.E.A.T levels - Non Exercise Activity Thermogenesis? This is the energy expended for everything we do that is not sleeping, eating or exercise. As an example, you may train at 3-4 x per week with a great programme, but how active are you outside of your training? Modern society tends to dictate us being inactive outside of “exercise”. Many spend Monday to Friday chained to desks sending e-mails, and your levels of NEAT will be unfortunately generally appalling. Often, the difference in energy expenditure between active and sedentary jobs can run into hundreds and hundreds of calories. We’re not saying change jobs!
There are certainly ways to increase NEAT even when working in a sedentary occupation. You can do so either by working in some NEAT throughout the work day or upping leisure NEAT, the thermogenesis resulting from how you spend your spare time. Unfortunately, most of us don’t try to do so. Maybe we’re serial couch potatoes and Netflix addicts! 🤔 We consistently and completely overlook NEAT. Our encouragement to you is to write down and plan how you can implement greater NEAT levels into your daily routine. It WILL make a huge difference. Try it, you’ll see!
