The Martins Independent Family Funeral Directors
Guiding the local Crawley community through times of bereavement.
The Martins Independent Funeral Directors Ltd is an appointed representative of Golden Leaves Limited which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN:960923)
We have been kindly given permission by the family of the late Mr Louis Simon to post the following pictures of the beautiful Grey Horses and White Horse-drawn Hearse that took part in his funeral service.
It was a sunny day for the very loved family man, Louis. A great send off for this very dapper and popular gentleman.
RIP
Today was the last service Reverend Ann Alexander gave at her church. St Alban's in Gossops Green, Crawley, as she is now retiring. It has been a lovely 11 years knowing her and working with her. Love and best wishes to a wonderful retirement. Xx
For the first time we were asked to provide a pair of Shire Horses and a Drey Carriage. This was for the send off for the late Laura Firmager who the family kindly allowed us to share.

Greetings to you all and apologies for the late posting.
We have pleasure in notifying you that our Tree of Remembrance is now up in our reception area. Please feel free to pop in and write on a memory star to hang on the tree for your loved ones.
You will also find our Nativity display which has always been a great addition.
This year marks our first full window display for Christmas. Our theme is a Winter Wondeland and hopefully this will be well received. It will highlight moments where we can just transport us away allowing us to treasure special memories for each and all.
Christmas will always be a joyful and celebrated time during good times and bad. If it is your first Christmas without a loved one to share it with, do not despair. Recall the great memories of Christmases past and begin to create new memories new with family and friends. Tears may be shed, hugs maybe in demand and laughter is permitted, Christmas will always be Christmas, just a little bit different. As time passes it will be a little easier.
With all good wishes from us all here.

It is that time again to reflect and we have now produced our 2023 Poppy Appeal/Remembrance Day window display.
The past few years we have received some lovely comments, non-more-so as we were given kind permission to feature one of our fallen heroes, the late Rob McNeill, once again.
We featured images of his funeral that we carried out during some strict Covid rules however we managed to give him a military send-off that he deserved.
The family of Rob have again allowed us to feature him this year and we are very honoured and thank full. We have also been offered a few extra photos to feature from one of our colleagues and we are most grateful.
Our hearts go out to you all and we will be thinking of you and do not forget to remember as this keeps the memories alive to share, or keep for ourselves:
Through conversation. We must talk.
Through tears. We need to cry.
Through laughter. Never stop smiling.
Through photos. A picture can say a thousand words.
And most of all through love.
We grieve because we love.

We have recently put together our 2022 Poppy Appeal/Remembrance Day window display.
Last year we received some lovely comments, non-more-so as we were given kind permission to feature one of our fallen heroes, the late Rob McNeill.
We featured images of his funeral that we carried out during some strict Covid rules however we managed to give him a military send off.
The family of Rob have once again given us kind permission to feature Rob this year and we are very honoured and thank full. We have also been offered a few extra photos to feature from one of our colleagues and we are most grateful.
On this occasion not only will we remember our fallen men and women in the combined military forces we will also remember those dear who we have lost during this pandemic since March 2020.
We know it has been hard for everyone including ourselves our families and our friends.
Our hearts go out to you all and we will be thinking of you and do not forget to remember and this keeps the memories alive to share or keep for ourselves.
Through conversation.
Through tears.
Through laughter.
Through photos.
And most of all through love.
