30min Franklin Ball session with Kimberley Smith BHS AI accredited professional coach, followed by a 45min training session with Douglas Hibbert.
Dressage rules and New 2024 tests Workshop running throughout the day with dressage judge Yvonne Huber. Questions answered about the transition to the new tests.

Refreshments and lunch provided all day😀

Douglas Hibbert is from the Dorset/ New Forest borders. He has over 35 years experience of coaching, riding and training.
He loves to help riders at all levels and currently has pupils from Preliminary to Grand Prix in pure dressage and event riders from BE80 up to FEI 5*.
Douglas is a BD Accredited coach and a member of the International Dressage Trainers Club.
He won the BDSW Coaches award in 2021
He is also an FEI Level 3 Eventing judge , one of only 8 in the UK, and a BD list 2 judge .

Your last opportunity to view & download for

With just over one month to go until the transition to the new BD test system from 1 July 2024, members are reminded to take the final opportunity to view online for free.
Read on to get ready for the switchover to the new BD test system, which includes the introduction of new tests, as well as the revision of existing tests. The new BD test system simplifies and streamlines the test structure, including updates to the marks allocation, terminology, and directives, to ensure that there’s a consistent approach at all levels of national competition, from Introductory to Advanced Medium.

Following the announcement of our revised test structure last year, BD members have had the exclusive benefit of being able to view and download the BD tests for free for the last six months, since 1 December 2023. This was due to end tomorrow, on 31 May, but we will now be extending this to midnight on Sunday 2 June.

With the transition to the new BD test system on the horizon, members have three days remaining to view and download the new tests, before the full range of paid options are released on the BD website on Monday 3 June. The new BD tests will be operational from the start of the winter qualification season on Monday 1 July.

Purchase: Choose your learning preference
From next week, written test sheets will be available to purchase online from the BD shop in both A5 (standard) and A4 (large) formats, printed format on coated, weather-proof stock. You will also be able to purchase tests individually for download, so you can view on your computer or mobile device and print at home.

There are also new additions to the diagrammatic versions of the BD Test Plans, which were made available to everyone in April. These guides offer visual learning for all British Dressage tests, from Introductory to Advanced level, as a supplement to the written sheets. We’re pleased to now offer large text versions of the BD Test Plans, as well from the judge’s view from C, available on printed stock or as a digital download.

Competing: Test date reminder
As a reminder, the current BD tests will remain in use for the remainder of the year until all 2024 championships have concluded, as they have provided the basis for Area Festival, Regional and Quest qualification during the summer season.

The new tests will be used for the winter season, starting on 1 July 2024, to qualify for BD championships that take place in 2025 onwards.

If you're feeling unsure about the new BD test system, here are a few great opportunities to get to grips with the changes before the tests come into use from 1 July.

Test riding clinics in your local region are the ideal opportunity to get expert advice on riding the new tests, in a relaxed, no-pressure environment, before taking to the competition arena. Regional test riding is available to book via BD online, simply visit your regional page on the BD website to find out more.
