Using MI Faux Brown

Educational Post 🗣️ - TI02 or most commonly known as TITANIUM DIOXIDE.

Titanium Dioxide is the most common & stable white colorant in PMU/Tattoo pigment makeup which is mixed in with other colorants to create the pigments we buy.

It is used to increase the opacity and move the lip VALUE, however we must do this responsibly.

NOT MY WORK:
This photo shows my clients lip tissue has been left with an off white ring around the vermillion boarder. This is due to poor implantation and using a completely unnecessary amount of titanium dioxide on a HIGH VALUE lip. This could have been completely avoided.

This is also why I will never tattoo a different pigment colorant from the boarder to the centre.

Titanium Dioxide is not the enemy but poor education & artistry is!

Understand the pigment brands your using & their CI codes is essential to understand what you are implanting & to work ethically.

Dry Lips - let’s talk about them 👄⬇️

My client initially came in for lip blush with extremely dry and cracked lip skin. This is not workable skin as penetrating a needle into dry cracked skin can cause trauma & patchy healed results.

How to prep your dry lips before your appointment:

- Exfoliate lip skin with a lip scrub 2-3 times per day for at least 1 week prior.
- Moisturise lips 2-3 times daily at least 1 week prior. I recommend Dr Paw Paw.
- Hydrate! Drink lots of water 💦
- Limit caffeine & alcohol intake.
