✨NEW WOMEN'S CIRCLE✨

You are invited to this intimate gathering of women in a sacred space. Circles can help heal your body, heart and mind, as well as encourage a deeper sense of belonging to the sisterhood.

During this hour and a half of guided mindfulness & discussion, I hope to create a space where we as women can pause and connect together, offering the ultimate support and guidance, surrounded by pure feminine energy!

If you like what you are hearing, I would be so honoured to hold space for you to experience the transformative power of a women’s circle.

We meet the second Saturday of each month for an hour, starting at 4pm. This is an in-person event, hosted at my yoga studio @ The Barton Poughill, EX17 4LE.

I understand that each of our circumstances are different, so each spot is donation-based, with a suggested donation of £4. To highlight the importance of circles being completely accessible, there is no pressure.

New Year, New You? NOPE! New Year, Still You! 🥰

This year is the time to pay attention to 'you'. The unhealthy attitude that you need to recreate yourself in order to evolve and move forward is completely unattainable, and will cause you stress and disappointment if you don't achieve it.

In reality we are evolving all the time, not just at the beginning of the year. So, if you do want to start something new at this time, like yoga (hint, hint!), begin with the knowledge that the 'you' you are currently is still bloody brilliant. You just become even more amazing as you grow and learn from your experiences.

Yoga & mindfulness is the best tool I have come across to acknowledge this. As we study yoga, we learn to emphasise the best parts, whilst getting rid of the stuff that makes us miserable. Sounds good right?

Join me this year in giving yourself the positive practice of yoga. (All classes will be linked in my bio)

As always, on Mondays I teach 'Every Body Yoga' @ 6.30pm, a group class for every body, helping the mind & body to be happy!

I also teach Private Classes, great if you want to work on being the best you without other people there. DM me for more info.

I am also excited to begin a 6-week Beginner's Yoga Course starting on the 7th February! 🥳 Early Bird discounts are available!

✨Happy Nine Nights of the Goddess! ✨

This week is a very special time in the yogic calendar. From today, we celebrate Navratri or 'Nine Nights' by honouring Shakti, the divine feminine, Mā Durgā, and all her forms.

It is a celebration of female power, and triumph over evil, and a time to go deeper and explore these different forms of feminine energy and power within us.

I will be posting a mini practice and devotional video every day to honour all the expressions of the divine, the Navadurgā (Nine Durgā). I hope you will enjoy learning about them! 🦁🪷✨

We'll be briefly exploring Durgā energy in the practice. 🧘🏻

As we mourn the loss of the Queen, Elizabeth II, I wanted to pay my respects from my soul to hers.

In yogic philosophy, we never truly die. Our soul is eternal, existing beyond the physical body, beyond time and space.

So when faced with the loss of another, we pay our respects by encouraging the soul onto the next journey, may that be another life, or to reach true Moksha, liberation from Samsāra (the cycle of life and death).

Here I am chanting the mantra ‘Om Namo Narayanaya’

This mantra is to Narayanaya, the Great Soul, the preserver of harmony in the universe. We chant this to help the departed find their way towards the next path, guided by Narayanaya. Each chant of the mantra denotes great compassion not only for the departed soul, but also for those who suffer from the loss.

So I pray to Narayanaya to grant peace to my Queen, and peace to her loved ones at this time.

🌹Happy Ganesha Chaturthi🌹

Today (and for some the next 10 days) we celebrate the birthday of the remover of obstacles, Lord Ganesha. 🐘

Ganesha is the supreme administrator. He helps us to transcend our ego mind and gives us the courage to overcome the difficulties is our lives. 💪🏻

He is an important symbol in yoga. Lord Ganesha’s energy aids in creating a foundation of our yogic practice that is full of strength and wisdom. 🧘🏻‍♀️

He is also an important reminder that it doesn’t matter who you are, you are deserving of all that’s good, as he will always support you, wherever you are at. ❤️

The 8th is International Women's Day, a celebration of the Divine Feminine, Shakti, full of warmth, compassion and protection. 🌸

In union, Shiva and Shakti show the combination of masculine and feminine aspects of our being, which convey complete balance, joy, and presence. ☯️

To celebrate this union of masculine and feminine, I invite you to special 90 minute Yoga journey.

Today we honour Lord Shiva 🔱

The Yogi of all yogis, the supreme deity beyond all limitation, representative of the power of silence, stillness, and non-doing, and the Lord of Cosmic Music. 💫

It's the year of the Tiger! 🎉🐆🎊

Today marks a new year in the lunar calendar, the year of the Tiger. 🐯

The third animal of the 12-cycle Chinese Zodiac, this majestic creature is honored in mythology throughout many Asian cultures as a protector from evil spirits.

The tiger is often associated with fierceness, strength and courageousness. Think of the mighty Goddess Durga riding a tiger into battle, a symbol of her mastery of power and determination, or of Lord Shiva, dressed in the skin of the tiger, a sign of dominion over all the powers that be.

However, in many Buddhist beliefs, the tiger also represents compassion and generosity. In the moralistic teachings of the Buddha, there appears a motif in which someone makes a gift of their body to an animal, often a tiger, evoking the Buddha's gift of Dharma. Do good things for others and good things will happen for you.

In 2022, I hope that the Tiger will bring you courage and determination for whatever may come your way, and that it will also guide you to be compassionate and generous, so you may receive generosity and compassion in kind.
