After sadly losing Custard and Star during the past 24months, it was time to welcome some new members to our family. Welcome to Moon and Jelly!!!

Meet our 4 little Guinea Fowl Keets. Just over 3 weeks old. No names yet, but happy to have them join our family 😊

Love to share this every year, my favourite time for sure!!! Always looking forward to hay making. And what gorgeous week we had, blessed with amazing weather.

Buttercup, Daisy, Brambles and Nettle all managed to get a “haircut”. They are now ready for summer 😊

And finally summer decided to arrive!!!! We even managed to get the new climbing frame set up, ready for years of fun!!

After all the rain, what a lovely afternoon it turned out to be. Just spectacular!!

And so we finally welcomed back our guests today. May our guests this week have an amazing time and enjoy the beauty we are so grateful to experience daily!

We are very excited to be welcoming back guests from 12th April onwards. It has been too long!!! Hope you are looking forward waking up to beautiful views like these!!

When you are blessed with too many fresh eggs daily than you can get through, you make delicious homemade quiches!!!

Nothing better than the smell of home grown lavender. We are sure our guests this week will enjoy the gorgeous weather and relax, enjoying local cider and our sheep’s company. Daisy, Buttercup, Bramble and Nettle surely enjoy the lush green grass and beautiful views.

Decided this year we will try brewing our own cider. Watch this space for update. 😊

And so we finally welcomed back our guests!!!!Yes we are open again and really happy to have our first guests this week, since lockdown. Such awesome weather with the garden, grounds and views so inviting.

The vegetable garden is looking really great. The corn, courgettes and peppers still need planting out, but we very happy with the progress of the rest so far. Really nice to grow your own!!

And the family is growing!!! Say a big hello to Nettle. Our new 3 day old orphan lamb. Daisy, Buttercup and Bramble just as excited as us to meet the new arrival.

The weather is beautiful, the surroundings spectacular. We are truly blessed to live were we do!!! Enjoying this peaceful time together as a family, but missing all our guest!! We hope everyone is staying safe and looking forward to welcome you all back very soon!!!

Hello to Bramble!!!! Our 6 day old orphan ewe pet lamb. She joined the family 3 days ago, tiny and unsure, but she has fully settled in and enjoying all the love and pamper.

We are really sorry to announce that we have taken the decision to close for a while, and to take no bookings between now and end of May.

Anyone with current bookings will be able to reschedule to another date. Please do contact our booking agent.

We need to all stand together and help our NHS and country by keeping safe.

We have said goodbye to our final guest for a while yesterday. We will miss you all

We had an epic season. Thank you to all that visited, we truly hope to welcome you back very soon. The past week had been windy and rainy, but still had a couple of beautiful sunsets. With the nights getting longer and the days colder, nothing nicer than relaxing in front of the fireplace with a good glass of wine. There is still availability over Christmas, get in touch!

To the Daws Family, who spent the past week at Hasswells Cottage, we wish you a safe trip back to Hong Kong! Farewell from us all, including all the animals, as we know the kids really enjoyed playing with them. Hope to see you again and hope you enjoy the rest of your trip in the UK.
