Ordering Process
Orders are accepted over the phone, via text/direct message including those via social media, via email or face-to-face. Personal consultations are available on request. The majority of orders will require a minimum of one weeks’ notice, although alternative or simpler designs may be offered at shorter notice. I will do my best to accommodate last minute orders but please understand that these will be allocated less time than existing bookings. Designs
I accept custom cake orders as well as repeating those found in my portfolio. In the case of cakes which ask for inclusion of copyrighted characters, all copyright and credit is reserved for and owned by the original creators/producers. In the case of a replica of another cake being requested, I will do my best to make a cake as similar as possible to that of the original maker but please understand that there will be some differences due to artistic variations. I am happy, on request, to provide a sketched plan of your cake. Serving Sizes
On ordering, I will ask you how many you will need your cake to feed and use this number to size your cake and quote accordingly. Standard serving size is 2”x2” for sponge and 2”x1” for fruitcake. In the case of a novelty, specialty or carved cake, I will suggest serving sizes as accurately as possible but please be aware that servings vary with such cakes. Consultations and Tasting sessions
On request and for potential orders over £150, I can offer cake consultations at an additional cost of £20. This will last for up to 30 minutes and includes cake tasting of up to three different cake flavors/fillings. If this session results in a booking of more than £150, the consultation charge will be deducted from your deposit and therefore becomes free-of-charge. I require at least one months’ notice of cake consultations. Following a consultation, a quote can be given via message or email within 24 working hours. Deposits, Refunds and Payments
I require a minimum 50% deposit to secure any booking. This is to cover time spent shopping for ingredients, designing your cake and sometimes even decorating your cake in the case of late cancellations/uncollected orders. In the unlikely event that I am unable to fulfill your order your deposit will be returned immediately in full. Your date cannot be booked until this deposit has been received, either by cash, paypal or bank transfer. TO BE CLEAR, UNTIL YOUR DEPOSIT HAS BEEN RECEIVED, YOUR BOOKING IS NOT COMPLETE. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Final payment is due 72 hours before collection/delivery. If final payment is not received by the date due, the order will be assumed cancelled and you will lose your deposit. In the case of bookings made with less than three days’ notice, the full amount will be due at the time of booking. Due to the nature of my industry, I have a strict non-refund policy. I will send you a photo of your cake(s) at least 12 hours prior to collection or delivery. If there is any part you are unhappy with, please let us know and I will do my best to adjust your cake as required, within reason. This may not be possible with last-minute bookings. Collections/ Delivery
Collection is from Fieldway, New Addington, Croydon CR0. Collection and delivery time slots are 6-9pm Monday – Friday or 10am-9pm Saturday and Sunday. Although I will do my best to accommodate it, a change from collection to delivery may not be possible after the booking has been made. Delivery is free within New Addington or £5 outside of New Addington but within Croydon. Although I only offer delivery within Croydon, I may be willing to deliver to other areas for an additional charge. If delivering direct to a venue, I will need a contact name and number of the person receiving the cake. The contact person will be required to sign a confirmation that the cake has been received. If there is no-one available to receive the cake at the agreed delivery time, your order will be returned. You may then be charged for an additional delivery attempt or be required to collect the cake yourself. I will not be responsible for any consequential loss due to non-delivery as a result of customers fault. Once the cake has been collected or delivered, I cannot be held responsible for any interference or damage to the cake. Any parts standing away from the cake such as decorations on wires, will be removed for transit but can easily be inserted back into the cake once it reaches its final destination. This is to prevent damage to the cake and its decorations during transit. Set-up
I can provide set-up services for your order at an additional cost of £25. There is a waiting charge of an additional £10 per 15 minutes if the venue/customer is not available to receive the cake or allow set-up to commence on arrival. You as the customer will be responsible for a stable and levelled cake presentation table upon which the cake is to be displayed. Warm conditions can melt chocolate, fresh cream etc. If you choose to order such a cake, I cannot be held responsible for any such mishaps following collection/delivery. Hired equipment
I offer a variety of cake/cupcake stands for hire. The deposit for hiring is equivalent to the cost of the equipment. The hire cost is £10 per full or part day. The deposit will be taken on booking/final payment and returned within 3 working days of the equipment being returned providing there is no damage or missing parts. Allergies
I do not offer allergen-free cakes. The customer is responsible for informing their guests of any allergy information accordingly and I cannot be held liable for any allergic reaction resulting from consumption of the cake. Right to the photographs of the cake
I retain the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use and publish photographs of customers’ cake or pictures in which they may be included. For, e.g., advertising, display, website and internet promotion, photographic contests, public display, cake industry publications, studio display, television advertising, magazine advertising. Right of Withdrawal
I have a right of withdrawal for any placed orders due to reasonable contributing factors such as non-payment, non-cooperation etc. No refund will be offered in this case.
